I normally lack the talent to post models in these hallowed threads - but I think I kinda did alright with this Great Unclean One!

A quick and basic paint job overall (with some help from Warhammer TV for the detail areas), but it turned out rather nice.

I also put together some quick painting notes and more piccies: https://ttgamingdiary.wordpress.com/2020/08/11/a-pale-great-unclean-one/

Really nice work! A perfect example of how good washes can look.
I took a look at the blog too, and frankly, this:

...is absolute poppycock. You should definitely put more up, you've got some really good-looking models there.

That's really not how it works. Nearly every good thing I learned about painting and modelling I learned here from someone else, so if nothing else, this is a good place to get feedback if you're looking to up your game.

But even if you aren't, the showcase is for everyone at every skill level. If you are happy with your work, you should show it off even if someone else is "better" - otherwise only like 3 people could post here

It's doubly wrong since you did a really, really good job. The guts came out especially nice.

You could do a light, gentle drybrush of brass on the bell to bring out some contrast.

You've done a great job! No need to be insecure, that is work to be proud of. The plaguefather smiles on you (though hopefully not too much these days lol)

My only suggestion would be to maybe go a bit... messier? perhaps a little stippling with an old brush of brownish red for dried blood around the open guts and wounds, or some ryza rust on the bell? Just a suggestion, it's not everyone's style, but I think Nurgle is a good opportunity to go a bit dirty

I think it's very nicely done. Completely get your comment though. I talk to myself for the most part in my thread as it seems most comments are for the highest level stuff or people just starting out.

You wanna boost that confidence? Forget the comments. Look at the views.
