Good Day fellow Gamers,

i am pretty new to the hobby. I recently started collecting Orks in the first Month of the Lockdown. I enjoy painting, the Lore, and most of all the general Style of WH 40k and in general the Game itself. But there is one thing I absolutly hate about all this. Rulebooks and Balancing... i think in 2020 there should be a FREE APP for Stats, Points etc and NO BOOKS so they can easily Balance everything and fast without finding every little thing in the depths of the Internet. (Just like you d do it with decent PC Games) Especially for me as a new Player it is hard to find every Change. Also its incredibly frustrating to see that SM get all the love and in my Case Orks get nothing at all and you have to wait several months if not Years to get a decent Codex, which is probably obsolete in 1-12 Months anyway. And i obviously know the "GW wants to sell you Stuff" Argument. And i have no Problem with GW charging me Money for Minis, Paints and so on. But in Terms of Gameplay this System is just awefull. Moneywise i think they even would be better off with the App because its more User- and beginnerfriendly. And they will sell tons of Lore Books, Minis, Paints, Tools, Licences .... anyway. And i really think that every (YOUR CURRENCY HERE) not spend on Rules will be used for new cool Models and Stuff, but it would improve the Game a lot. And i think if the whole community would demand it and would stop buying those Rulebooks and Codizes, GW would eventually change.

I wont buy a single Codex and just use Battlescribe. And i think everyone should do the same. If everyone does it GW maybe listens.

I literally lost every Game to my friends except the ones where they build the most useless SM armies they could do with their minis... Obviously I am not a good player yet. However, we tried several Constelations to get a balanced Game and i got tabled every time. My Point being here ist not "help me, make me a better Gamer", this will be done in other Posts . The Point is: MAKE IT BALANCED, DONT MAKE IT UNNECESSARILY COMPLICATED! I dont want to stop the hobby after this short amount of time, but this being a Hobby it should be fun and exciting.

Thank you Guys for reading my Rant.

For Gork... or possibly Mork...

If you want a balanced game with free rules you'll have to find something other than Warhammer. They've made it impossible for themselves to balance the game by fragmenting their design team into small groups that don't talk to each other and don't have an overarching vision for the game, and they're pretty much the last holdout in the tabletop gaming industry that believes they can't possibly give anything away for free, even the rules.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

Fair enough regarding the "Balance Part". The Money Part however is imho the Customers fault....

What, you think if we all pirate the rules for long enough they'll stop printing books?

I am just saying that no Company in the World keeps printing books if noone buys them.

That's not how it works.

Rule guys get paid as long as rules sell. If rules stopped selling, rules guys would get fired.

At worst you'd get generic rules, but you certainly wouldn't get a dense set of rules for free.

Yeah, good luck with your pro-piracy crusade.

how is it piracy to not buy a book and instead make for example your own rules or take the (dated i know) sheets out of the boxes you buy. Even if everyone wouldnt play for a year it would be a statement. Obviously it is all hypothetical. But the truth is if you buy it they get away with it. And if BattleSchribe would be legaly wrong GW would 100% go and sue. Escpecially now, when they have their own paid app out to maximize profit.

I do this a lot. Good luck finding people who are willing to play them.
