Looks more like a proper Bond Movie although DC looks so old and tired!
Probably be replaced by the cool looking black woman 00 (if she does not turn out to be yet another double agent) = which would be good.
Can't be worse than SPECTRE he says hopefully.

This trailer doesn't make the movie feel like action edutainment and more like a classic bond film. I saw reports a year ago about significant reshoots so hopefully this is reflective of the full film and not just deceptive trailer editing to lure oblivious fans in for that first week box office number before word of mouth gets out.

Well he starts out retired in this film, so yeah.
Mr Morden wrote: Probably be replaced by the cool looking black woman 00
She is the current 007 in the DC film timeline because, as stated above, James Bond is retired at the start of this film and they don't retire 00's numbers like they're basketball jerseys. Films coming after this will have a different actor portraying Bond in a whole different series as this finishes out the DC story arc.
I like the premise of this (very meta, too) but trailer is bit of a mess and doesn't really get my hopes up. Looks very paint-by-numbers. Also, just how many female sidekicks are there?
Rule is that every other Bond is good, last one was crap so we SHOULD get a good one now, but I dunno...
I didn't even notice Moneypenny first time around. Also that one woman is Lea Seydoux, I didn't recognize her with that hair. I guess she is still Bond's girlfriend. And there's the new 007 and some other agent lady. Seems somewhat packed, any way you put it.

Well Bond having a girl for more than one film is......different.
One is his replacement rather than sidekick
The sexy brunette assassin girl is likely exactly that.
Quite a few of the older films had lots of ladies....

Well it has happened before, I don't mind it as such. I like some continuity between films. That's one thing why Casino Royale made me so excited back in the day, it looked like they had built some sort of overarching plot. Of course they completely dropped that ball like writers of Lost.

Not all of them are good, though. Often the secondary female part ends up completely superfluous to the story and the movie would have been better off without them (Teri Hatcher in Tomorrow Never Dies, Monica Bellucci in Spectre). Best two-woman story is probably Golden Eye, where you have sexy evil assassin girl, and plucky heroic working class girl. Both have very well defined roles in the story and are very distinct characters.

Enjoyed her since Brotherhood of the wolf - must watch that again
Friend of mine is a BIG fan of hers and was excited she was in the new bond film - then he watched it.

Oh yeah, that movie is awesomeballs.
Alas she sometimes ends up as pointless eye candy hired by cynical producers just to get her name and face in the posters, like in Spectre and the Matrix sequel.
If you like mamzel Bellucci I'd recommend both Doberman and Irreversible -- both quite full on, with the latter being genuinely disturbing/uncomfortable to watch.
meanwhile..

Song seems...ok...but the main problem is that it immediately made me think of "Oil Spill" from Bob's Burgers and that is probably all I'll hear when it is played now.
Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

Don't get me wrong, I like Garbage and all... but you do not disrespect Gladys Knight and Tina Turner like that.
Look, there are definitely better performers and artists who have made bond theme. AND The World Is Not Enough the movie is total garbage cinema (Yep, I did that). But the SONG is basically perfect. It's got the slow soft bits, it's got the high energy chorus that builds, it's got the classic bond tropes of both trying to take over the world AND trying to tear it down, it has the right instruments to get some 70s sounds in there without loosing the sound of it's own day, and finally it's the real world Bond Family motto on their crest. "Non sufilcit orbis" (The world does not suffice)
As far as Bond themes go it's basically perfect.
These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.
Nobody made a Vandire joke already? Dakka I am disappoint.
I'll do it myself then.
Spoiler:
Does that mean Sisters of Battle are James Bond girls now?

Ghawd how I hope this movie ends with the bond or his new, 'apoproved' replacement telling the bad guy it's time to die and he absently says "I have no time to die, i'm too busy."
As to the song, meh. I never understood the appeal of music that sounds like it's being sung by a woman who just took some heavy duty tranquilizers.
Hell, the dirty pair anime did a bondesque intro to one of their OAVs that had a better song than this.
Lance845 wrote: As far as Bond themes go it's basically perfect.
It's the bit where she sings "I feel ready, yet unprepared" that gets me every time. You can unpack layers of emotion from just those couple of lines. While Tina Turner is magnificent, I don't feel anything from her Bond delivery other than that she's trying to do her best Shirley Bassey impersonation.
But I'd back Nobody does it better as my favourite.
This is actually something I've noticed about the more recent films, not just with the artist - it's like they're trying too hard to update Bond and make him relevant.
This makes me doubly worried now that there are no more books they can adapt, and it has to be completely original.
Warning, spoilers for the Daniel Craig films:
Spoiler:
Casino Royale - look, we can do a gritty reboot too! (...but ok, Casino Royale was actually really really good, so fair enough.)
Quantum of Solace - ...really not sure what to say about this since it was clearly that amazing that I've largely forgotten it.
Skyfall - we need to up the stakes, let's kill off M for emotional points! Oh, and Bond is now the traditional protagonist seemingly lost in fighting his way in a world of new technology.
Spectre - somehow we need to get some extended universe stuff going on, let's messily retcon the last 3 films to play into this - oh, and while we're at it let's retcon long-time fan favourite villain Blofeld so he's actually Bond's adoptive step-brother, despite that making absolutely no sense.
"Hard pressed on my right. My centre is yielding. Impossible to manoeuvre. Situation excellent. I am attacking." - General Ferdinand Foch
Maybe it's time to admit Bond is yet another gallifreyan time lord living on earth for reasons, so when the actor changed he regenerates?
One real issue I see is that the new bond movies seem to be metaplotting. Most of the original bond movies were pretty much self contained and had no effect on future movies. I mean, if "the man with the golden gun" was part of a continuity the world would be solar powered by now.
The closest to a direct link to an old and new bond movie was when OHMSS ended and DAF began bond was hunting blofeld for the murder of his wife.
Now look at the end of Casino Royale and the beginning of Quantum of solace. QOS began less than an hour after CR ended, with bond inthe same suit, driving the same car and with the same person he ended up with in CR. The movies have continuity. Versper Lynde's shadow is still felt in Spectre.
