For those who have it, I'd check out the Netflix original "Dracula" . . . its not "scary" per se, but it is an interesting take on the world's most famous vampire.
Also enjoyed The VVitch (ya know, the one weirdly spelled with 2 Vs on the poster)
Queen of the Damned is always a fun one this time of year (and who doesn't like Aaliyah??)
The Hellraiser series hasn't exactly aged well in terms of outright scare factor, so that leaves it at a level today where I see it as some good campy fun.
I swear some people have said they literally could not stand the "double eye" effect on the mummy, I've never had the slightest problem with it and can't understand how some people find it so impossible to watch...

If you watch Lugosi's dracula, keep an eye out for the mysterious sheet of cardboard that appears in it.
That Netflix Dracula was quite good until it completely lost me in the final episode.

Well Hellraiser is one of a long list of films on the remake train, so I guess there's a chance we could see an update that preserves the spirit of the original/novella but uses updated VFX tech to really ratchet up the gross.
Can we please get a spoiler on that obnoxiously large poster of The Mummy? Nobody needs reminding of that, and that it's been included as anything other than one to avoid is frankly baffling.

If anyone's looking to laugh their backside off at a cheap, schlocky gore flick - check out Peter Jackson's Braindead (also known as Dead Alive).
...yes, THAT Peter Jackson. It's a very early film of his - maybe his first proper movie? - and it's a great example of what happens when you give a big kid with an imagination a budget.
It doesn't take itself seriously and it's funny as hell.
Here, I'll leave this clip of the kung-fu priest to convince you.
(NSFW because of gore, I guess, but it's not gonna give anyone nightmares these days...)

The blob 1988 is a horror film. It features some very horrible deaths, including a young man slowly being digested, visibly, thru a small blob that is spread out all over him.
Yes, the arm sleeve doesn't fit right, deal with it..

"Horror express" wasn't made by hammer, but it sure looks, sounds and feels like a hammer horror movie. Staring the deadly duo of Lee and Cushing. If you like classy acting and relatively low gore it's worth a look. It has an eerie theme tune that i warn you will rattle around in your head for a while.

Kicked off with two of the best Vampire movies ever made, and both from 1987...one of which will warm the hearts of fans of ALIENS, and the other needs no introduction...
...other honourable mentions are Watchers and the Blob - DAMMIT MATT SWAIN YOU'VE BEATEN ME TOIT!!!! Urgh...here's Watchers, which happens to star Lost Boys' Corey Haim...
...Finally! This is a classic from MST3K. Spider! Spider! Spider! Spider!....
I have always thought that 30 Days of Night was one of the better vampire movies out there.
"By this point I'm convinced 100% that every single race in the 40k universe have somehow tapped into the ork ability to just have their tech work because they think it should."
Dark City. Made and released a year before the matrix so it is NOT a matrix ripoff.
That said it is kinda like what the matrix would have been like if it made any sense. A dark movie with horror overtones. ('We use your dead as vessels.')
