Hi Dakka -- not sure whether this help request goes better in general discussion or the buy/sell/trade forum, but I'll start here in general discussion.
I recently acquired a lot of Warhammer products. It seems like most regular sized 40K miniatures are $2-3, while some specialized units run over $10 each. I want to sell off those higher priced units, as I don't plan to play competitively and these don't seem to justify their value based on the sculpt alone. I'm hoping a kind soul (or two) can look at the pics below and let me know:
a) which of these are worth $10+
b) their unit name, so I can list for sale
Notes:
1) Pics #1-3 are most likely to fit the $10 threshold
2) Pic #4 is a closer shot of the miniature on the far right in pic #3
3) Pics #5-8 are larger faction lots, don't think these have the pricey units, but wanted to be sure
4) Pic #9 is terrain that I don't need, is this worth $20+?
5) Pics #10-28 are new additions
RIGHT!! Here goes. Make sure you're sitting comfortably.
I'm quite happy to come back and update this as a central list, so if anyone has any corrections or can identify the gaps (and thanks to those below that already have) - just shout and I'll edit this post.
A couple of notes:
- I can't comment on value without digging on each individual model, my suggestion there would be to check Ebay for the names, but use the advanced search to look specifically for recent sold listings, not those that are still active. This'll give you a better picture of what they actually go for, while cutting out most of the ridiculously high or low outliers you can see on still-running bids and reserves.
- there's a lot here from the Blackstone Fortress game box (all of the explorers but only a couple of the enemies), and what looks like the entire team of Elucidian Starstriders from Kill Team's Rogue Trader box. I'd suggest selling those as two job lots - same goes for the "normal" Chaos Space Marines (excluding the Sorcerer, Obliterators and Possessed) - as they're not likely to be worth much individually.

The second one is the 40th Anniversary White Dwarf model, the 4th one is Severina Raine.
To OP: even assembled, you'll generally get more than $10 a piece for everything in the first picture. You're undervaluing a bunch of this stuff from their usual 2nd hand prices, actually.

Correction - the fourth model is the SW character from Burning of Prospero - Gregor Fell-Hand, possibly?
#5 is an Idoneth model from AoS - Isharann Soulrender

Confirmation of why no-one should listen to Kanluwen when it comes to the IG - he doesn't want the IG, he want's Kan's New Model Army...

Yarium wrote: Dark Angel Tactical Marine w/kit-based weapon (looks like they tried to create a Grav Gun)
The weapon is just a meltagun from either the Mk III or Mk IV Space Marines kit. (EDIT: On closer inspection he's got Mk IV arms too - IIRCGW briefly sold the Mk IV kit bundled with the DA veterans sprue to make Fallen, so that's probably where he comes from).
Dysartes wrote:Gregor Fell-Hand, possibly?
Geigor.
EDIT: Some of the models in #8 are from the Rogue Trader box for Kill Team, not Blackstone Fortress. GW used the same dark red plastic for both.
And the models in #6 with heavy weapons and tubes attaching their heads to their backpacks are CSM Havocs, not from Shadowspear. The guy with the big mace is the Havoc champion.

A little bit of righteous anger now and then is good, actually. Don't trust a person who never gets angry.

Just a bump so the thread jumps up - I've updated my placeholder post, above. Thanks to everyone else chiming in, you've filled a few gaps I had already - all that's left is to itemise the Stormcast Eternals, really.
Oh, and sh4mike:
I want to sell off those higher priced units, as I don't plan to play competitively
...sounds like you've got some you want to keep still, go on, let's have a look! Anything there you want identifying just for curiosity's sake?

You're right, Super Ready. I held a lot back because I didn't want to scare folks away with too large a request. I've updated the original post, going from the original 9 pics to 28. You all have been so helpful already, I'll gladly take any additional assistance.
No need to itemize larger lots like the Stormcast Eternals and later factions in the list. I'm planning to keep all the "normal priced" figures, it's only the $10+ per mini sculpts I am trying to identify for sale. It's still great to know all the faction names however, as we'll want to know what we are painting for the table.
Oh, and don't worry about finding prices on these, I can look them up since I have the model names now. Cheers. =)

I would help, but it seems everything has been identified now, so I'll just say that if you are planning on keeping the CSM models to play, I would definitely keep the Terminator Lord. He's only $30 on GW webstore, so built and primed as he is wouldn't fetch a high price alone. I do not have any recent knowledge of the game, but I would believe a Terminator Lord is still a worth while HQ choice for CSM, since they only have 10 that are not named characters and only 2 of those are below $30. Also, might as well hold onto the Master of Possessions too as he only comes in the Start Collecting box and the OOP Shadowspear box. I wouldn't think he's that valuable either, as many use the Start Collecting boxes to expand their army cheaply and don't need more than one or two Master of Possession models so the market is usually full of them. A lot like how you can't really expect to sell the Officio Prefectus Commissar for the same reason.

Big list updated!
Pic 15 helped me figure out the gun that Dark Angel veteran in the robes in pic 4 is carrying, too. It's a meltagun from that squad's box, and might well have something to do with why there's only 9 of them.
Some extra notes:
11:
The "dustier" Plague Marines (the browner ones towards the bottom-right) look REALLY well painted, you could probably advertise them as "pro painted".
13:
The bottom models probably aren't going to sell, even as a lot of their own - you'd be better throwing them in with some of the Nurgle / Plague Marine models as an extra.
16/17:
If you're going to sell the Orks as a bundle lot, I would put the 3 boyz from 16 together with the rest in 17. The Kaptin and Flash Gitz in 16 will likely sell separately.
19:
6 Reivers seems strange, they come as a box of 10.
21:
Again the numbers seem strange here, I may have confused some of the models as aside from the Abominant, the two units come together in one box - 10 Neophytes and 5 Acolytes.
23:
The only thing that makes the back models Space Wolves is the shoulder pad. On those grounds you might want to advertise them as Space Wolf Intercessors.
24:
"Space Marine Heroes" was a limited edition run of collectible models, eg you'd buy them in individual packs blind, kind of like you would Pokemon cards. This pic is all of series 1, definitely sell these together, they should be quite valuable as a group.
28:
You've got Scarab Terminators quite heavily mixed in with Rubric Marines here - they look similar but are very different units. I would split them into their original units (which includes their Sorcerers) and take new pictures with the two groups separated.

Super Ready -- you've gone too far in helping. Please PM me your Paypal, I want to drop some gratitude.
I'll likely be back in the next day or two with follow-ups after sorting through all of this. Those notes on how to bundle items are extremely helpful.

I appreciate the offer, but no thanks. I'm not really in need of any money - maybe donate some to charity if you like?
Besides, I got a little knowledge of models I didn't know while looking some of these up.
