Well, my plan is to use as ''heavy support'' either 1x3 LHD's and 2 Doomsycthes or 3x3 LHD's.
Any experience with that many LHD's on the board?

Do you really regularly play against so much vehicles that you want to dedicate a minimum of 600 to them? If not, I would probably choose the units that are the most versatile or a mix of them. I plan on using 3 LHD, 1 DDA and depending on how I feel either a Doomscythe, 2nd DDA or regular Destroyers.

For me, DDA have the huge upside of being able to contribute against all profiles, not only tanks. For tanks and their like only, I would choose the LHD, but they are horribly inefficient with their 3 shots against anything not having 5+ wounds.

I'm pretty new to Necrons and trying to build a TAC list (if such a thing is possible), does the Quantum Shielding and Living Metal generally make up for the low toughness that most of the vehicles have? At the moment I'm leaning towards the Void Dragon supported by a two LHD. I don't know if that's too many eggs in one basket for 350 points though.

Here's what I'm working with at the moment. Only purchases made so far are Warriors, Immortals, and some Destroyers.

Spoiler:
10 CP, 98 PL, 1985 Pts

HQ
Command Barge, Gauss Cannon, Resurrection Orb - Voltaic Staff, WL (Thrall of the Silent King)
Technomancer - Phylactery Hive, Canoptek Cloak, Dynastic Heirlooms (Nanoscarab Casket)
Royal Warden - Rarified Nobility (Immortal Pride)

Troops
20 x Warriors, Gauss Flayers
20 x Warriors, Gauss Flayers
5 x Immortals, Gauss Blaster

Elites
Hexmark Destroyer
Void Dragon (Transdimensional Thunderbolt)

Fast Attack
6 x Ophydian Destroyers
10 x Triarch Praetorians, Rod of Covenant

Heavy Support
2 x Lokhust Heavy Destroyers, Gauss Destructor

Not sure how I feel about the Immortals, I'd like to get a third unit of 20 warriors but would have to cut some of the support units; I'd like to keep the Hexmark in for intercepting Deep Strikers, not married to anything else.

I would like to bring in a Night Scythe as well to transport one of the 20 warrior units, but again, worried about cutting support. Maybe the Void Dragon is taking up too much space, and I should follow savemelmac's lead and include Doomsday Arcs.

Second arrangement:

Spoiler:
10 CP, 100 PL, 2000 pts

HQ
CCA: Gauss Cannon, Resurrection Orb - Voltaic Staff, WL: Thrall of the Silent King
Technomancer: Phylacterine Hive, Canoptec Cloak, Dynastic Heirlooms (Nanoscarab Casket)
Royal Warden: Rarefieid Nobility (Immortal Pride)

Troops
20 x Warriors, Gauss Flayer
20 x Warriors, Gauss Flayer
10 x Warriors

Elites
Hexmark Destroyer

Fast Attack
3 x Ophydian Destroyers, Canoptek Plasmacyte
5 x Canoptek Scarabs
10 x Triarch Praetorians

Heavy Support
Doomsday Ark
2 x Lokhust Heavy Destroyer, Gauss Destructor

Flyers
Night Scythe

Night Scythe transports one unit of 20 warriors, Ophydians and Praetorians DS, The CCB, Royal Warden, and two units of warriors hanging out together.

How about a list with a large number of Warriors?
I think about 3x20 Warriors w/reapers or more partly brought to game via deep striking.

I've been using fifty warriors, all reapers, in my most recent iterations. It's a seriously solid block that is pretty hard to shift for a lot of armies.

What are the supporting units you were using?
I think about Wraiths for stalling fast moving units, further shooty support and of course some HQs (incl. CCB) to bolster the army.

I use the King as the Anchor, then 2 squads of Scarabs one unit of Praetorians. Praetorians are probably not the most optimal choice, but I've really enjoyed using them.

Then you can flavor the HQ for what youf eel you need, or throw in some elites. I've not yet experimented with the barge for the maxing of Code of Combat, but I'll consider it for sure.

Okay, I understand the SK could field such an army and here the Praetorians come in quite handy.
But I guess I'll play the army without vehicles or monsters.
