On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Hi folks,

Since the pandemic my gaming group and I (4-5 of us), rather than meeting in person, have been meeting online on Steam to play Talisman.
It's not a bad game - exactly the same as the board game - and good fun for a few hours. But, would be nice to have some variety.

Can anyone recommend anything similar that has a 'board game' style? Only criteria is that it can't have fancy graphics (no or very limited 3D ,so big RTS and things like that are out)

Very grateful if anyone does have any suggestions!

Ticket To Ride and Carcassonne both tick all the boxes.

I really like playing online Diplomacy at playdiplomacy.com and it's played on a web browser, so everyone can play it!

I would suggest more atipycaland digitally based game like Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes or Among Us (that apparently are videogames, but are really digital boardgames)

I can't condone a place where abusers and abused are threated the same: it's destined to doom, so there is no reason to participate in it.

There's a video game version of the board game Pandemic, that hit Xbox Game Pass a little while back. Don't know how well it plays or how demanding it is in terms of hardware, but the board game is excellent so it's worth checking out.

These are amazingly good fun, I can't second this strongly enough. One caveat though - you need a few things.
First is a group chat where the host (who has the "core" game running) can stream it from. Eg, someone using a PC with Discord.
Everyone else will then need two devices - one to join the group call and watch what's going on on the screen, and one to actually play the games, which are browser based (so mobiles and tablets are fine for everyone except the host).
If that sounds confusing, I suggest looking it up on Youtube to see how it works, it's quite simple in practice.

Also, I forgot - there's also a digital version of Fury of Dracula.

Ah thanks man - I saw an advert for that actually the other day. Didn't ever play the boardgame although apparently it's quite good, and I love the concept of Van Helsing and co. chasing the good count across Europe.
