We’ll see how well I do in the start of the month.

I need to finish 5 seraphim and the canoness to wrap up the SoB box, and make my goal of doing it by the end of the year.

If I get that done, I’ll wrap up the half dozen or so Nids I have left, to clear the decks for the new stuff arriving.

After that, probably evaluate what in the primed pile I need to add to my crusade roster and get some paint on that.

So far this year I've painted a single Primaris Intercessor... Between working full-time in the office, evening classes, not being able to play any 40K and not having a dedicated hobby space has kinda put a halt to any hobby work - I just haven't felt in the mood! I'm hoping that in the lull after Christmas I can dig my hobby stuff out and get a painting session together.

Gotta give my wrist/arm a rest, so likely not much. Had to put away the craft table to make room for the tree, so whatever I do won't have as bright of a light to work with. Debating between finishing a bunch of Guardsmen, base coating some Marines to make life easier later, or painting some Skinks for my AOS army.

I might start my last batch of 10 Skitarii Rangers, but I'll at least paint my Indomitus Captain w/ Relic Shield.

I do, however, also plan on ATTEMPTING to paint something up as a gift. I plan on doing a test run this week on a spare Chaos Cultist, before cleaning/assembling/priming a Berserker model from Artel minis. I haven't done any of what I'd call 'good' or 'compositional' painting, but I want to try to shade it to be similar in style to Frank Frazetta paintings for my dad who's a fan of his work.

I tend to keep a queue full of models in various stages so I can tackle whatever sounds like the most fun, so for December that's likely to be a mix of Orks and Manufactorum terrain.

I should be able to finish my first 10 Boyz in December. Not sure what I'll build next, but Gretchin, Nobz, Lootas, and Killa Kans are all on the shortlist.

My parallel queue for terrain will include wrapping up two Manufactorum ruins and starting on the sacred space heater and the holy radiator. Those are huge, so I'm not sure I'll finish them until next year.

I have a long standing tradition that every two years at Christmas time I buy a new army and delude myself I can paint it over the holiday period in an intense painting marathon. I always fail miserably at this and spend the next two years actually completing the project.

This year I'm totally going to paint the approximately 6k points of Necrons I've bought. The be fair this year I might actually be able to have a solid crack at it as the scheme is pretty quick, I can do a lot of work with the airbrush and I have 18 days of leave.

I've got most of two boxes of Indomitus to paint but between work and ordering some more paint, it'll probably be closer to Christmas before I can get much done,

I have around 20 Rubrics, 5 Termies and 10 Tzaangors that need doing. While I have to work over Christmas I'll almost certainly just be on standby so gives plenty of time to get some painting in

Jovial Plaguebearer of Nurgle

I'm a terribly lazy painter, but last week I tried a new scheme for my DG and to my surprise I'm actually liking painting them. So while my backlog is immense (horde of grey plastic player here) I intend to finish up 2 squads of my Plague Marines before years end. Which will be just in time in between a national holiday, Christmas and my birthday for my backlog to continue growing since most of my gift suggestions are "more DG stuff pls".

My painting plan for now though Dec.31 is very modest:

•get a basecoat on everything I've assembled recently.

•paint the base edges of units in my necrons different colors to differentiate my squads.

•paint up a 5x squad of Deathmarks who're "earning their paint" in our Crusade.

I just finished up 3 sherman tanks and a M3 half-track. I have 4 more 3D printed half-tracks to go.

Also sitting on my paint table is an Admech commander, a squad of 8 modern soldiers, a 9E chainsword primaris and a necron warrior. Hoping to get all these done in December.

Got a lot more to tackle, but that should keep me busy for the next month, especially with the upcoming holidays.

I plan on painting:

Valentian
6 spirit hosts
5 hex wraiths
10 Chainrasp horde
1 mortis engine

"Those are Sigmar models" I hear you accuse. Well, not after I finish converting them to serve as my necron army.

Depends on does Archaon arrive in time. If yes that sounds like good christmas project.

If not dunno. Far enough I can see where my painting projects are when it begins.

Oh, I did a looot of painting since March, as my other main hobby (Rugby) was not practicable really. Unfortunately, I also bought a looot since March, so my pile of shame was only slightly dented. Since then I finished my LotR-Dwarves, so they are at this point more or less done. Currently sitting on my desk are 20 Scions for my Imps, that I need to wrap up. Also did a lot of painting for my Space Wolves but as I constantly bought new stuff for them, there is no end in sight.

So either I'll propaply finish up some tanks or heavy weapon teams or continue working on some Indomitus stuff for the Wolves. As a side project, there is also a LotR-Rohan army built and based, so if I get sick of 40k, I'll switch over. As I am only doing Christmas Eve this year with the family I'll have some time for myself to paint.

I also bought the Tyranid Christmas bundle but I hope, I can restrain myself to start with them and leave them for the new year, after I more or less finish my Imps stuff, so it's onde project out of the way.

Really looking forward to some relaxed holiday painting days.

Gonna finish changing bases from my old first gen marines than start doing my Primaris units finally. New Dark Angels codex may change my plans once info starts leaking

I just finished building my own custom desk and I want to get a pedestal from ikea for my hobby stuff, got 5 drawers should be plenty of storage........ But it's out of stock and has been for a month! This is where the rigidity of my organization gets in the way.

But once I get that I got:
1 impulsor
Primaris techmarine
Indomitus Cpt, Lt, ancient, Executioner
Infiltrators

Indeed, I should have a plan for the week after Christmas.
I'll paint new Necrons - mainly 40 Warriors with reapers.

I plan to paint the new DG character

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Same!

I'm also going to try and finish off a handful of Necrons, Death Guard and Orks. I set myself the goal of painting 30 models during November and managed 20. This month I'm going to aim for getting the remaining ten done (2 Plague Marines, a Lord of Contagion, a PBC, four Boyz, a Plasmancer and a Canoptek Reanimator) plus either another unit of Plague Marines or some Terminators, and a Bloat Drone. Anything on top of that lot's a bonus.

I've been working on necrons for the last couple months. Assembling, converting, basing, etc

I'm aiming to get the last of the gap filling and priming done on 50 power level worth of them by the 13th. Hopefully I can then get the rest of the painting done between then and the new year.

I am also house training a puppy at the moment, so who knows...
