Hello fellas, hope that everyone is great.
I have a misunderstanding on something and I need your help.
As per the Imperial Armour compendium the new dreadclaw rules as per drop pod assault mention
That in the reinforcement step of your first, second or third movement phase regardless of mission rules you can set it up on the board.
My question is, can this be placed and the models inside disembark in the same turn?
As per BRB pg 208 the reinforcement step comes after the movement phase. So does that prohibits the models inside to disembark after you set up the dreadclaw in the table?
Many thanks

Drop pods have a special rule that allows (and indeed forces) embarked units to come out as soon as it hits the table. I don't have the Space Marine codex but the rules that the Dreadclaw is referencing should cover that.

Unlike a standard drop pod, the Dreadclaw lacks any rule forcing, or even allowing, the embarked unit to disembark after it arrives.
Given that the Kharybdis also lacks this rule, while the Terrax drill actually does have it, I believe this is intentional.

Yes as I read it I believe this is intentional as well.
The drill specifically says that you can. Probably the dreadclaw is something different. I am not sure for the kharybdis as well. As it’s cost in points and cp makes it rather bad choice if you can’t disembark in the same turn.

There is no cost in CP; it doesn't have the Martial Legacy rule.

Ah, I mixed up Dreadclaws and Dreadnought Drop Pods
Yeah, the Chaos versions don't allow an immediate disemark because they function more like a regular transport that can move around.
