Nice work on the posing! Also the painting, but a very pugilistic pose.

Yes, very nice model and great pose.
Can you share how you did the gold?

Thanks. Regarding the gold recipe: I detailed the process in this thread https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/792100.page
Edit: come to think of it, you did ask me the same question when I posted my galatus dreadnought, which is totally fine of course, but the gold recipe is the same as back then.

Big fan of the gold again, my only suggestion would be to add some edge highlights to the red panels as they're lacking compared to the work you've invested in the gold portion of the armour.

Thanks for the kind words, but I strongly disagree on the red shoulders. It doesn't show well on the pic because of the light but I managed to do some sweet transitions without using an airbrush, which was a ton of work....the more subtle transition towards the high parts of the shoulders works really well for me, and slapping on an edge highlight would break the subdued look of the red for me.
All personal opinion though, thanks for telling me your honest thoughts, I appreciate that

You're the one who asked for C&C, making excuses through photography not showing crispy blends isn't the fault of the person providing what was thought to be welcomed feedback, and it's not a crutch either. I should have clarified that I was not telling you to slap on a hard edge highlight. Edge highlights generally don't detract from blending, blending is an intermediary step regardless of the time it took and you can certainly add edge highlights that compliment your blending. You see competition level entries that still have edge highlights because even though there is a lot of tonal variety, you're dealing with a subject in miniature form. As you say, all personal opinion
