A belated one year anniversary since the last update that we missed last month. Any news from other sources like the twitch streams? Did anyone have any success following Mad Doc's advice and getting your money back? Is there webstore back? A quick search didn't show anything on the first page.

Given that everything is still moving forward, would you even ask someone who uses the company Twitch channel to stream games for the time, when you could instead be watching ushancat, slugfestgames or ReaperMiniatures?

The company's main page has the same message since... June I think? About being back soon.

https://hfminis.co.uk/

We'll be back shortly.

Dameon is back and needs some time to sort out any outstanding issues.

We also need to make some changes to the website to go along with the soon-to-be-announced changes to the business itself.

Just to stop any rumours before they start, we are not closed ?

Things have taken a little longer than we thought, apparently moving a giant warehouse takes some time. We'll be making an announcement about the changes and the future of the business when we re-open shortly. Apologies to those waiting. The new e-mail if you need to contact us is hfminis@gmail.com

The quote from them about things moving forward was from over a year ago with no actual signs of things moving forward. I do also follow Reaper Miniatures and they're a great company with regular releases and a stellar history of crowdfunding completion that I highly recommend as a customer!

I got a "429 Timeout Too many Requests" error just now. You apparently used up all their bandwith allotted.

How does that work? Aren't they dissolved? Or are they, as the Thread Title says, just ignoring all of it?

Forgot that.

Wonder what'll happen if the royal family catches wind of it.

Seems someone did drop by a stream and asked, from the KS comments:

I dropped by one of Arty's many streams

I asked about this.

Hasslefree as was is dead. We knew that.

He said they're "trying to work something out."

Sounds like legal stuff then.

Make of that what you will. I'm done hoping I'll ever get hold of the one mini I wanted from this debacle. I don't really play minis games any more anyway.

I knew that they were done for when their annual quick cash infusion Halloween sale scheme didn't show up. Hopefully they're forced to sell the molds and maybe Crooked Dice or Fenris Games can acquire them. I think that Crooked Dice already acquired a few older Hasslefree models, so maybe there's some slim chance of that range finding a new home but I'm not counting on it. Certainly not banking on getting my last order or money back.

Best and worse case, Reaper might nab some of em. (Think I said it before)

I don't if it's still the case, but Hasslefree always used to use Griffin for metal moulding and casting, and their policy was that while the customer owned any production castings, Griffin owned the moulds and would not allow them to be sold on. It would give away their secret mould-making techniques, apparently.

I don't know Griffin's policy on master castings; it's possible Hasslefree might be able to sell their master castings, and a buyer would need to make all new production moulds.

In that case, we don't really know if HF still has them, or they went to the royal family*.... shame, because I really like the Kev Walker and 'Deth & Taxes' minis.

*I'm still a little confused about how bankruptcy in the UK works so please bear with me

Pretty sure the Sheariffe rounds up their worldly possessions and locks them in a vault beneath the tower of London where the royal princelings play with them to amuse themselves.

I've sold production rights to a few Griffin-made moulds and masters and I'm pretty sure CP Models had the moulds transfered to them from Griffin. I'd imagine Andy at Heresy had masters if not not moulds sent over for the stuff if mine he got.

No mention was made of them owning the masters and moulds back in 2010, so that's not been a thing for a good few years. Having someone other than me owning the master castings would have been a big nope from me. If you don't own the master castings you don't own anything.

It was definitely a thing when Stewart was running it (or at least, that's what he told me!).

I agree completely on the master castings. I had about twenty sculpts done in a vulcanisable resin once, and the caster made one set, and got rid of the master moulds, without mentioning it! When the productions moulds wear out on those, we'll be in a bit of trouble...

I expect Hasslefree should have plenty of masters, as they were getting them cast by Grey Matter, so if nothing else, they should be able to make new production moulds if needed. I don't know much about dissolving companies, but I assume they could transfer the masters to their new company?

Any way to get some of these guys? I would like the Scooby Gang.
Did someone else pick up these particular molds?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.
