Hey all!

Thanks for the reply! I will update the OP later tonight with current and past projects, but for now I wanted to show a bit of progress on The Dread Pageant, inspired by the new Hedonites of Slaanesh Battletome cover:

My progress thus far:

I spent time with the airbrush getting the gradient down on the first model.

Gorgeous gradient! Looking forward to seeing the details bring it to life.

Thanks! I've started basecoating and glazing the skin, and the black areas are either going to be leather or metallics, which I've also started basecoating.

I still need to tidy up some of the lines between colors and I would like to enrich the skin tone.

Update!
I finished the gradient on all four models, now onto the other materials.

Finished the Dread Pageant. These were really fun to paint aside from the gold, which was a nightmare. I wanted a bright, shining gold, but the paint I was using was super coarse and chunky and didn't thin down well at all. I ordered a new gold, but it didn't get here in time for the Monthly Painting Challenge, which these guys are an entry into.

I spent far too long deciding on the color scheme and painting the test model (the archer) and I basically painted the other members in two days.

So.. Its certainly been a while, but I lost a lot of motivation at the end of February. Ordered some models for a kitbash, found out that I ordered the wrong models, ordered the right models, and finally started the project. I thought your Dread Pageant was a very impressive entry and love the range of skin tones you picked to balance out the warband.

OSJC's scouts are ones I would like to emulate at some point, I'll be watching how this goes with interest!

So it's been a while...

I really lost the motivation to update this blog.

That said, I'm going to keep trying.

With that out of the way, a few finished projects:

The most recent project, the Starblood Stalkers. So far I've only just started the skin. The idea is high contrast, with a dull red shadow and blue-green midtone.
