I was just trying to look at a few models on GWs website and while they were still listed in the search, when I tried to open them it sent me to the "All records expunged" page. It seems to be totally random too. The few I just tried were Vanguard Veterans, Tor Garadon, and Imperial Fists Upgrade Sprue. I'm sure there are others as well, but I'm not checking everything to find out. The website was working for me earlier today though. Anyone know what's up?

So I just took a look for the Razorback because both Wahapedia and Battlescribe say it's not chapter specific and I always thought it was exclusive to the Blood Angels, but it's no longer listed at all! When I tried just looking for Dedicated Transports or Vehicles, I noticed that the Impulsor and Rhino are also gone! What is going on? Have they actually been removed or is this part of the apparent store problem?

Also, I noticed that the Adepta Sororitas Rhino is $60 for some god awful reason. This better not be a prelude to another GW price hike. I swear if they make even a basic transport $60, I'm buying 2nd Ed kits on eBay. At least then it'll look worth the price to collectors.

Well can't address the rest of your concerns but yeah over here the Sister Rhino is a full 10 Euros more expensive than the Chaos one. Gotta pay that purity seal tax I suppose.

Sisters Rhino is a new release, therefore it costs ~25% more than a similar old kit would cost. That's GW's new pricing system. Never miss an opportunity to raise prices, and when you do it on new kits, it's harder for people to get upset about it than if you raise the price of an old kit.

You see it in AOS too. It's just a lot more blatant when it's basically exactly the same as the old kit with a few tiny changes.

Interesting. Just did a quick check on the UK site, it’s all the old marine units which have disappeared. Tacticals, Devastators, assault marines, vanguard and sternguard vets, old marine bikes, even classic BA Death Company and sanguinary guard. Scout units are still there.

Weird.

I think its due to reboxing. Element games recently had box art of these units in the new style, but the GW site still showed the old one. New box = new sku = new entry in store.

Seems lika alot is gone, opening 40k and then space marines you can see the number of products is 66 for them, pretty sure it was way over 100 a few days ago.

I just noticed while checking this out, that there is the space wolves pack (10 dudes) and space wolves Blood claws (15 dudes), which are the exact same price, for the same models, but one has 5 more for free.

Sounds like the same bug the FW site has been having - from another thread:

It even is at least half the same kit. If you look at the sprues for the base Rhino body, it is literally the same Rhino sprues they've been using for 15 years. It even still says 2006 on the sprue in the pictures on their website.

That's a neat little detail. I wonder if they lose a weapon selection sprue or something as a tradeoff? I know Blood Claws are supposed to be the newest recruits past Scouts, but I don't play SW so I don't know if they have different options. If not, then I might pick up a box as cheap conversions for CSM.

The Blood Claws are "Temporarily Out of Stock" atm, but according to the sprue pictures, the only difference between them and the Pack is an extra sprue pair (five models with all options) for an extra $2. A damn good price if I say so myself. Makes you wonder what each sprue really costs GW to make, yeah? Just how many hundreds of percent profit are they squeezing out of us?

I also noticed that a lot of kits are missing. Some are brand new so no re-boxing.

I tried GWs help-chat but didn't get an answer.

Hopefully some sort of temporary problem!

Blood Claws just can't take bolters and heavy weapons. But Grey Hunters can't take heavy weapons either.

Don't see any reason to buy the space wolves pack, when the blood claws box box exists.

Indeed. Especially as someone who doesn't play SW and just wants the bodies to convert to Chaos SW.

There is lot more than just classic marines missing.

Its not a mass discontinuation, they are clearly just doing some kind of website reorganisation.

There is random stuff missing on the FW website as well.

And more is going every day. Just last night I was looking at a Tau XV88, but when I went to look again today they were gone.

This surprises people? go into a brick and mortar GW store. They have pulled all the older stock off the shelves. I had to ask the store rep where all the old Terminator kits went, and he said they weren't selling so they come down off the shelves and back to the main. Expect GW to start pulling older boxes as new armies begin to drop.

Yeah, like, there's some new models, but I highly doubt there's whole new 40k Armies coming down the pipe. At least not enough to excuse 50+ models being dropped.

Look, I get it, the Old Marines' days are numbered, but given that GW has said there's been some glitches on the Forgeworld site (which I believe is built the same as the GW site), I'm much more inclined to believe this is a bug.

I'll believe they're gone for good when they're actually gone for good and do not return.

I just took at the listing on the GW site, the Sisters of Battle Rhino comes with a third, full size, brand new sprue in the box in addition to the parts for the basic Rhino chassis. Not sure why you're surprised that it's more expensive than the normal Rhino...

I was looking at the “Start Collecting/Combat Patrol” boxes last night, and had noticed that the oldmarine box was out of stock online and the note below it said “No Longer Available Online”.

Is this a repackaging for 9th or is the last oldmarine SC truly being dropped? I mean, I noticed that even the Deathwatch SC is now Primaris instead of the prior oldmarine figures.

The Start Collectings, in general, are going away in favor of Combat Patrols for 40k.

It remains to be seen if they'll go away for AoS.

Because each other basic rhino variant also comes with their own extra sprue. Being one third newly released doesn't justify a 34% price jump if it doesn't include one third of the previous product.

In effect, they replaced a third of the product with a different sprue and charge almost 134% for it. If the whole thing was brand new, including the base sprues for the rhino body with some updated scale or looks or such it might justify the price jump, but I wouldn't be sure unless it looked significantly better or faction specific.

Just look at some of the other products out there. If they had just released the Chaos Rhino as it is and marked it at $60, would you be happy with that price after the regular SM Rhino has been $45 for so long?

The sisters Rhino is more but it comes with a big sprue for sisters extras added to Rhinos. If you can get any other Rhinos cheap I'd say get one of the sisters and just use the bits to Sister up the Rhinos you have, at least that is what I did. The added cost isn't cool but the extra bits can be nice if you needed just one more but had some other Rhino hulls to pretty up.

The Razorback is not chapter specific.

It does have a fancy sprue filled with Sisters goodies, but so does every other Rhino kit have a sprue with their factions options.

I think I was mixing up the Razorback and Baal Predator.

Hmmm. The Cultists of the Abyss are now the only Cultists available in the CSM section. So it looks like those are the Cultists for CSM now. Is that new for this "update" of the website, or was it already the case and I just missed it? Either way, it means equipment changes for Cultists will be coming, considering gw's "models = rules" policy.

Well look at the actual sprue, it has a lot on it. I'm not saying its great value but you can get a lot of bits from it. So pick up some cheap rhinos and one of those sisters rhino kits and you should have plenty to really sisters out your stuff on the easy. At least that is what I'd say to a sisters player, I didn't like the uptick in cost either until I just figured I'd take some good from the bad with it.
