Hello DakkaDakka, I'm FundoMental, a gentleman of a certain age from the north of England, long time lurker, first time poster. I'm currently entering my third stint with the world of Games Workshop; first was Bretonians and Lizardmen in the early '90s, a Cadian regiment followed in the '00s. Following knee surgery in 2018 I found I had time to return to the GrimDark, this time with a Space Marine Chapter (Raptors) - I'm torn, though, between going full Primaris or sticking with Classic Marines (I have a bit of both right now...).

Shocking confessions: I've never actually played 40K (I'm in it for the models), and I don't own any copies of the rules / codices so some of my miniatures may not be entirely Codex-compliant

Alreet FundoMental! Fellow northerner here, of the Geordie variety - welcome to Dakka!

Your shocking confession is not so shocking - I too have never played 40k, and am in it just to model and paint. You'll find that quite a lot of us are, and we lurk in the Painting and Modelling sub-forum. If you're in it to have a bit crack while you're painting, Dakka runs a unofficial painting competition every month that you may be interested it . It's a great no-pressure environment to see what everyone else is up to.

Welcome to Dakka. Can't wait to see what you're up to. Seems like I find some inspiration from everyone who has a go at the hobby side.

As a Yank...(California dude, like totally old school to the max beach bum, bro...) it made me smile and laugh to see all the people come out of the proverbial woodwork and throw out their local dialect in support! Now if I could only understand half of it...

Keeping the hobby side alive!

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.
