So the thinking behind the choices, we have the troops literally to sit on backfield objectives. A sorcerer to accompany our dreadnoughts providing prescience and maybe weaver of fates on either. The dreadnoughts themselves are great all-rounders, capable of deleting MEQ as well as plinking off armour in a pinch.

The Heldrakes are harrasment units to tie up what I need and dish out an essential strat, that being Vox scream to help reduce my opponents efficiency with auras etc. I would love to run just one but need the redundancy if one gets taken out T1.

Raptors are for taking out opposition infantry with the -2 leadership debuff and plenty of shots and attacks.

Havocs are there because I had points leftover and Heavy bolters are cheap and versatile enough.

I've got my jet pack HQs to do obvious things like death hex or the chaos lord to be just a beat stick Vs other characters or troops with his relic.

The mutilators are cheap, durable and deep strike nicely with their small footprint for missions and can easily do some work if needed in a pinch.

Finally Belakor is added to just be a fairly durable hammer that the list needs to go hunt for the Mortarion/Swarm lords etc. His leadership debuff synergises quite nicely with the night lords also if facing hordes.

Thoughts?

If you want to cast Weaver of Fates on those dreadnoughts you'll need to switch them from Slaanesh to Tzneetch. But I'd go the other way. Switch your Sorcerers to Slaanesh instead. Weaver is only going to benefit the Contemptor against weapons with AP-3 or better and only benefits the Leviathan against weapons with AP-4 or better. The 5+++ from Delightful Agonies will benefit both against everything, including Mortal Wounds.

Ah yes, mistake there but you're right about the fnp being more useful! Will switch em up!

Strong list otherwise?

Its not a strong list. But looks fun. If you want stronger but looks simliliar to what you already have then...

1. What exactly are you doing with your sorcerers, powers, role etc... you probably only need one.

2. I'd run two almost barebone units of raptors.

3. Mutilators? There are better cheap units... spawn for instance

4. More than one heldrake? Nightlords have board control tools, maybe one of these, but not two.

5. I'd have another unit of cultists, possilbly 3 units of them, hold objectives and use for secondaries.

6. Havocs are good, you might be able to squeeze out a 2nd unit, if you are lucky you can get a rhino to protect both units.

7. Belakor is in an auxilary support detachment why? Add a daemon troop unit and he is now in a patrol and you can use daemon stratagems.

Just my thoughts.
