Hmm, I'd say they're somewhat inbetween. Its these guys:
I 'd say they're more like silver helms but a bit more fancy, so somewhat towards Dragon princes.
The elf list in KoW has only one heavy cavalry entry so it doesn't really matter there, but in Warmaster I'd run them as silver helms I think.

True, I was thinking they have a bit more fancy gubbins on their helmets and the horse armour, but they're definitely quite close to silver helms.
Dragon princes has more ornamental stuff on them.

I seem to recall the Dragon Princes having high wind resistance helmets, what with the wings and all.

I'm back baby!
The little 10mm guys got placed on the backburner for a while as life got in the way. But the road to 1000 points must go on!
Finally a unit of heavy knights is done*.
First stand:
The back:
I made that back rank fist and when I tried ranking up the front rank, I realized I had to leave a empty space in the middle to have them rank up properly. So I made something looking like a little elvish waystone to fill them out. It even serves a purpose as the leaderpoint in KoW.
Frontrank:
The back of them:
All together:
* I realized they actually have open helmets so you can see faces if you look real close. It's not very visible, but it won't be a lot of work to give them proper faces either, so I'll make sure to touch them up eventually.

Very nice, good to see this alive again. Waystone is a nice little atmospheric bit and good use of a combined base like this.

They look good, Zywus, but I do think adding the faces in will lift them a bit.
What's next on the to-do list now these are done?

Nice to see you remembered the log despite the abscence
Indeed, I've always loved the basing potential of unitbasing. It's a bit easier in 28mm scale though, as you generally fill up bigger portion of the base with integral bases for 10mm minis. (although some kits are printed invividually without integral base).

Yea, They would benefit from a face in that dark helmet chasm.
Next on the docket will be either light cavalry (Ellyrian reavers, a.k.a Silverbreeze cav in KoW) or the lord on dragon. The two entries left for a 1000p force.
I've made a basic 1000p KoW army that I'll play my first battle with. (5 points to spare for an item somewhere.
Elves 1000p (bold is done)
Kindred Tallspears (Regiment) 140
Kindred Archers (Regiment) 140
Stormwind Cavalry (Regiment) 215
Silverbreeze Cavalry* (Troop) 130
Bolt Thrower 90
Lord on Drakon 160
Elven Archmage 60
- The Boomstick 25
- Lightning Bolt (5) 35
-------------------------
Total Unit Strength: 10
Total Units: 7

I realize I've expanded the archers into a regiment, but never posted a picture. So here they are.

Progress made on the dragon lord.
Not the best pic quality. Will snap a better one once he's gotten further along

Some progress made again. A troop of light cav. Silverbreeze in KoW parlance
Front
Back
And these, along with some more work on the drake lord means I have a full 1000 points ready!
Thanks to the smaller size of 10mm minis, I can fit the whole force in my small lightbox.
Now they're ready for a scrap. I just need to kick my buddy into gear to finish his first 1000p of Basileans and there'll be a fight coming up!

Finally! The Elves has tasted battle. With two fully painted 1000p armies each, we were ready for the full visual spectacle of battle.
Game system: Kings of War 3rd edition (substituting inches for cm)
Initially, we measured out an area in the middle of the board totalling 72x48cm. Moving were allowed over the entire board once battle starts, but deployment needs to be inside this square, corresponding to a regular 4x6 feet tabletop. This in order to keep the game somewhat in the confines it's balanced around and not overpower long range artillery and such.
Getting late here now, so I'll post pictures of the action later.

Initial advance:
The Basileans concentrate their forces on their left flank:
Elves scramble to respond:
The elven spears find themselves isolated against a mighty host while the Basilean heavy infantry weather a hail of arrows
Elvish knights rush to reinforce while under fire from the Basilean elite archers:
