So stupid. I really with they'd stop this "we saved you three clicks!" bundle bs. At least it has been less common recently it seems.

Unfortunately, they've spread to Forgeworld - their Death Korps One Click bundles have no savings on them.

The much vaunted GW Change™ didn't last long. 40K heading back towards convuluted rules and formations, one click bundles, price rises. The only difference is they have a facebook page and website to tell you about an amazing 13 model launch box. Yours for the bargin of £125

The criticism is that they’re pointless at best as they offer no discount. At worse they’re a predatory tactic to get the unfamiliar to buy them thinking it’s discounted by calling them a bundle.

I just don't get how something like that gets greenlighted in the first place.

Somebody came up with it, another person approved it, a third one created the bundle on the shop and the last guy prepared the newsletter.

Not a single person in that line questioned the viability of it lol.

Get more for your money by replacing the Necron warriors with the Recruit edition - for £150.

All of them probably got a pat on the back for selling some bundles to people foolishly thinking they're getting a discount, resulting in the company getting more money at no additional cost or loss.

No, it offers "no discount" from buying the SKUs bundled within individually.

There's already a discount present. Necron side is really the only one benefitting though.
$28 Overlord+$38(*2) Deathmark/Immortal set+$49 Tomb Blades+$60 Night Scythe/Doom Scythe=$140 Combat Patrol.
Individual items are $213.
There's a $73 built-in savings already.
Add in the $45 Warriors and $55 Ark to the $140 Combat Patrol, you get the $240 pricetag...which includes $73 discounted from the simple fact of the Combat Patrol being present. $313 individually.

If you want to make an argument that the Marine Combat Patrol isn't a good value? I'll agree with that. It should not have taken the SC: Vanguard components. It should have been full kits to begin with.

$313 =!= $240.

You're welcome to believe there's no value to the bundles. You're welcome to believe that there's no real use for them, etc etc. But the Combat Patrol: Necrons is a $73 savings over buying the 5 items contained within by themselves.

Suppressors are arguably one of the worst looking units in the game right now. They can be made to look a little better by applying them to rubble rather than flight stands...but that's just polishing a turd.
