And here's today's Rumor Engine, looking fairly Shrike-y.

It looks more Jabberslythe than Tyranid to me, tbh. Tyranid wings are much smoother, without the stretch marks going all the way to the middle. The joints look somewhat diffrent, and the colours don't seem to be the default 'Nid colour scheme

I'd go with the Parasite but yeah, Tyranid.

I'd definitely go with "Winged Tyranid", but I'll leave it at that for now.

Shrike or Parasite seems to be the safe pair of bets. Could the Parasite just be an alt-build in a set of three Shrikes, like Nork Deddog in the Ogryn box? Or is it too distinctive/big for that?

No idea! Only specific we have is one of the more reliable rumorfolks now who said there's a Parasite of Mortex kit coming.

I agree that while it could be a new/redone tyranid wing, it does break from the established aesthetics.

This is the Tyranid from the preview video. It's pretty different.

Shrike/Parasite wings were my immediate reaction.

The orientation of the fingers, the style of holes, the tips, and there's also the extra fake finger coming from the elbow like on the Tyrant. That's a trait only on larger winged plastic Tyranids so far, but it was also present on the old FW Shrike wings.

If anything, the unusal number of holes point more in the direction of the Parasite - as an independen character it could have more detail and more weathered looks.

Yea, it has more of an undead vibe to me.

It appears to be skeletal or exo-skeletal judging by the way its shaped and painted, so its most likely either AoS Death or Tyranid in nature. I'm leaning towards Death as the amount of holes and raggedness of the wing edge of the flap has more in common with fell-bats and terrorgheists than it does anything in the Tyranids model range.

Based on the scaling of the holes/raggedyness its also too small to be anything much larger than a gargoyle in size, so unless they're giving us a resculpt of those (the current kit isn't that old, so unlikely) it wouldn't fit as the rumored parasite/shrike kit, especially not when compared to the preview snippet from the teaser video that Chikout shared....

So its almost certainly an AoS Death mini.

New Tyranid Gargoyles! But seriously, new gargoyles for Soulblight or some other AoS faction/boardgame?

I think probably not Tyranids but maybe something chaotic.

Pretty sure they did once, or there was an entry that could just as well be an enormous mutant butterfly as anything else. But they leaned harder into chaos just having weird gribblies rather than corrupted normal animals (possibly because they’re more trademarkable).
