Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Hello! Long time, no posts!

I have been mostly out of the hobby for the last few years but this year I have decided to make time to get things going again. I happen to have the 12 current Zombicide sets, and there happen to be 12 months in the year... what can go wrong?

Now, the only set I have partially painted is the first one so I thought I would break myself in gently by finishing this off and then moving on to Toxic City Mall!

96 walkers and their starting point:

Now, time to get painting!

Edit: remembered I had a light box so a non-yellow light pants image below...

Good lord! How many models are there in one set?

In the standard set there are 64 zombies, one abomination and I think 6 survivors. I have an extra tray of 32 zombies, another abomination and probably another 15-20 survivors and "zombie survivors". One of the perks of getting all of these sets as the kickstarters came out was all the freebies... though that does hurt me when it comes to getting it all painted!

Some of the later sets had expansions with larger monsters as well.

That's going to be quite a lot of zombies!

I will be following as well, this looks like a great project.

I've been dreading doing this for the Black Plague box. everything got basecoated, and zombies got coloured bases, but even that took long enough.

We'll need to see an action shot at some point.

The astute will notice that is is now February and I had no updates in January which means I must have fallen at the first hurdle!

And it is true; January saw my wife pretty much bedbound with illness, my daughter ill, and all my time caring for both of them or working. Painting time was therefore non-existant but I did make some progress and I have spent a couple of hours today "finishing off" the zombies from the original zombicide box, plus the extra zombie set, to a standard I am reasonably happy with for "tabletop there are a million of them about to kill us OMG does someone have a molotov" quality.

Unfortunately past me used either a paint, wash or primer that made it really difficult to get paint to stick to some of the models and I did not have the time to respray them all with a matt varnish or any of those sorts of things - hence some look a little more... weathered tha others

I have the original survivors and abomination left to finish from this set to make the box complete - hope to have these done by the end of the day. I have a bunch of additional survivors and zomvibors somewhere (I think in my workshop) to do but I may save those as a bonus along with some of the extra monster and special packs I have.

Without further ado however, 96 zombies:
