Stupid question... what are the oppressive transports out there? Devilfish? Is there anything else????

The first part is harsh (and clunky) but maybe fair. The second part is baffling to me, I must be missing something. Why wouldn't you just limit Devilfish?

What do they thing limiting crisis suits and crisis suit bodyguard to 0-1 is going to do? Most people who were taking them were taking large units they could turbo buff into the stratosphere, not maxing out on 3 of each. The only top placing list I've seen that's affect by that is Richard Seigler's.

What are they doing?!

Dunno yet. There's other restrictions we can't see from that screenshot.

Is there a place where I can see a more complete posting than what is in the original post? I don't see where people are drawing their conclusions from.

Drukhari, I guess? Clowns use a lot of transports, but none of them are dedicated.

I'd say it is fake! GW has never banned a unit for balance reasons in 8th or 9th not even the infamous broviathen which had a 82% win rate and was literly unbeatable for most lists.

I was thinking of doing a Serpent Spam with my Aeldari. If this ends up being true that idea is dead.

So Serpent and Falcon spam go! Serpent and Falcon. Sounds like a glam metal band name.

Because there's a lot of complexity to the point changes on battlesuits. Whether you change the body, the guns, the ramp price for multiples...

I believe it. It just tells me they entirely do not want to change points and so then the only way to "fix" Trajann right now is to kick him in the face.

I do feel like the app is the perfect solution to give out point changes. If they changed points monthly and distributed it through the app people might actually use the app.

There was a guy on reddit who was saying something about the article using Warzone when every other Warcom article uses War Zone.

That's the term I was trying to remember. Yeah, it immediately reminded me of Magic shenanigans, where you suddenly aren't allowed to play with certain things.
But instead of a card out of a random pack, its stuff you bought on purpose because it wasn't limited, then assembled, painted, etc.

I really hope they realized this was a bad idea at the last minute and decided NOT to implement this garbage.
Because seriously, even without everything else, who's getting oppressed by chimeras or rhinos (either loyalist, sister or chaos)? And if they (and other transports) aren't the real problem, why bring the hammer down on everything?

They'd have to follow up on their commitment to make the damn app work in the first place, sadly...

Eh. The rest of it is way too hard to fake. Seems more likely to be a typo.

I think it's important to keep in mind that this --likely-- isn't a permanent thing and that when they do points the units "come back".

I only say likely, because who the feth knows what could happen these days!

They did "soft" bans in 8th. You could still "technically" use all of the Legion Super Heavys after they cranked all of their prices to nearly twice their actual worth, but who would ever do that in a "competitive" game?

It’s supposedly fake. Some people know the specific discord is came from.

Why would they ban Trajann when they could just increase his points to 200-220? trajann is not opressive, a points increase would be all it needs to fix him.

Also ork buggies got limited. But there's indications it's fake. Misspells, using terms incorrectly to how gw usually writes them. Maybe substandard article. Or just fake

That was the old FW rules team who had no idea what balance is.

That was gw design studio that took over fw rules. Ergo total crap balance as gw wanted to discourage sales of less profitable resin over more profitable plastic

No, that was gw. FW wrote the Indexes, then every FAQ, errata, and points update afterwards was gw. Those Chapter Approved books were gw products, not FW.

Sadly I think you are right, this screams fake to me

Be nice if Tau/Custards/Drukhari and Ad-Mech got a toning down but I doubt it will happen, especially this soon. The only army who isn't allowed success on the battlefield without immediate nerfs is Orkz.

I feel like we both that when the actual points changes will drop it'll be: "+5 pts for crisis suits, +2 pts for stealth suit, +15 pts for the devilfish, -10 pts for the hammerhead etc...". The points changes are never more complex then this, sadly.

Yeah think it is fake and the guy who made it wants GW to do something like this.

I didn't want to derail the thread but...yeah. GOOD point changes are generally very complex. GW's point changes consist of irrelevant buffs to units no one uses and silly bumps to units that haven't been meta for 6 months.

Like, saying 'soup is complicated' is true if you're talking about Consommé, but no so true about hot water in a pan. GW consistently puts out hot water in a pan.

WTF is that about.
They're imposing temporary restrictions on units to rebalance things?
It's like they're deliberately leaning into "this unit will only be OP for 3 months, because by that time the next codex will be out that's even worse, so it'll be okay to spam them again".

Limited until the next points adjustment. It makes some sense.

What a fething slowed defense for GW. They just need to give the adjusted points NOW. Ya know, instead of telling Tau players "feth you, no signature unit for you".

The only positive I see is that I’m no longer alone in having buggies I can’t field. Zogged about my idea of a chimera guard force being curbstomped (if this is real).

It has nothing to do with GW. It literally is not simple to repoint a unit that has a 13x3 options without risking making some weapons bad, others good, certain loadouts unviable, or the unit a glass cannon if you go too far.

Do you expect GW would be capable of spinning out the right result for that when they just kicked out four books that are all over the place?
