Hello folks

I'm new to the hobby and starting to paint up a space marine kill team

I have the death korps +orks starter set but waiting on the compendium to arrive in the post for other info on other teams.

I have some spare time over the weekend and looking to get some painting done, I'm looking for some help with what can go into a space marine team untill the compendium arrives.

I have had a little look online but haven't found anything I'm 100% I'm sure about

One site mentioned the following options available to pick from, although on the gamesworkshop site if you pick space marines then filter by kill team there's only 8 options to pick from

Intercessors
Assault Intercessors
Heavy Intercessors
Tactical Marines
Scouts
Infiltrators
Incursors
Eliminators
Reivers
Supressors
Terminators
Sternguard/ Vanguard/ company /bladguard Veterans

Thanks for the help.

Welcome to Kill Team, it's plenty of fun

Marine teams consist of one marine type at a time, like scouts or tacticals. Current lists don't mix the unit types. The game focuses on sneaking infantrymen, so no jump packs or heaviest units like terminators.

Checking the FAQ from WarCom is also a good idea, as normal marines rose to six operatives from the original five.

#ConvertEverything blog with loyalist Death Guard in true and Epic scales. Also Titans and killer robots! C&C welcome.

Howdy,

I'm busy with a similar project.

Don't think there are KT21 rules for Eliminators, Supressors, or Terminators (yet), but I could be mistaken? There is also Deathwatch, but guess those are the veterans you listed.

Most Space Marine KTs have 1 Sergeant plus 5 Warriors; however, Heavy Intercessors have one less Warrior, and Scouts have four additional slots.
Tactical Marines, Scouts, and Deathwatch Veterans have extra roles too, such as Gunner, Heavy Gunner, etc.

I opted for a box of Reivers to learn the rules with--they were on sale and I like the skull helms and carbines

Good luck with the project

Current Killteam has

Intercessors
Assault Intercessors
Heavy Intercessors
Tactical Marines
Scouts
Infiltrators
Incursors
You also have standard Deathwatch 'Tacticals' in the same faction.

The following are NOT in current Killteam

Eliminators
Reivers
Supressors
Terminators
Sternguard/ Vanguard/ company /bladeguard Veterans

I assume whatever website you pulled this big list from was older and talking about the older version of Killteam, which did have more options.

Yeah, based on the OP's wording, I was sure they were using the Kill Team list builder on WarCom's site, which is criminally under-maintained and hasn't been updated since before KT21 came out. It's completely KT18-based.

Which tracks, given that GW can't even funnel any of the subscription money they get for their 40k app and streaming channel to, you know, put any kind of crusade support into their 40k app. The Crusade and Campaign systems they've been coming out are a lot of fun, but really would benefit from digital tool support that could track unit upgrades on the full campaign roster and then let you choose *from* that roster for individual game lists.
