Isn't it a bit early for stores to be getting them?

Or perhaps something on the mould was misaligned or tore up; but was just good enough to slip through quality checking? Enough that perhaps working out which kits are good and which are bad isn't worth it.

They might be "in the system" so already palleted and shipping out but not quite at the stores yet?

UK stores get the stock (if they ordered it, of course) during the week after the 'Sunday Preview' on WarCom. It still can't be sold until release date, obvs, but store owners get a head start for their personal collections (or display models for their shop).

Stores are being told by GW to destroy their received sets of the Enforcer Weapons and upgrades kit. Not sure why.

Good. I'm going to the store and help. And by helping I mean I take them with me to destroy them. And by destroying I mean to keep them. And by keeping I mean to sell them.

Stores should dress up like redemptionist and publically burn the heretical upgrades, to make a point.

Well, the upgrade sprue is missing from the pre-orders so something is up with it...

The rumours do indeed seem to be true on that one.

I've heard various explanations for why this has happened, from quality issues to potential lawsuits if they had released it. The most plausible one I've heard so far is that an additive which is harmful to humans wasn't removed during the production process and was only noticed after the products were sent out. I have no inside knowledge as to why this would be true, just sounds like the most plausible explanation.

For the second time after Legions Imperialis recently, tactic cards for the Palanite Enforcers are not available for pre-order in France, although they are about everywhere else in Europe. I'm wondering why that is, but this is really irksome.

Some sort of contamination would better fit the instructions to destroy the product rather than return it; if it was simply miscast or even somehow an entirely mispacked batch with the wrong product inside then returning and repacking might have been more economical.

Contamination would likely come with a handling warning and specific disposal instructions.

There was a case of raw sewage* contaminating a whole load of stock at GW a year or two back. It's why the Eldar Collectible Coin never appeared on the retail market, but instead popped up in boxes on ebay. Same a whole load of forgeworld models. It was all stock that was contaminated/suspected to be contaminated and set for disposal; which then wasn't.

*from a local pipe burst or something similar. Ergo not something that was GW's fault.
