So, after people in another topic recommended trying the Age of Darkness box for starting a chaos warband, I've actually become interested in playing Horus Heresy in addition to 40k, and I've also switched my interests from Night Lords to Word Bearers because I'm a fickle guy like that.
One of the things I like about Word Bearers is that, when led by fully corrupted Lorgar, they get to fill out battlefield roles with Chaos daemons: that would be a great way for me to open up the ability to play larger armies with bigger point costs without actually spending more money because, ad it happens, I already own a bunch of Slaanesh daemons.
Now in HH we apparently have a generic profile for each battlefield role, and we can play any appropriate daemon with their corresponding profile, without distinction between Chaos gods. So now I'm trying to figure out which profile each of my daemon units would belong to: naturally a Keeper of Secrets is HQ, and Daemonettes are troops, but what about Fiends and Seeker Chariots? Which profiles would those use?

Ruinstorm doesn't have rules for 2.0 yet aside from fan rulesets.

Oh. Nevermind then. The thing I saw about profiles must have been from HH1 :(

You do you, but you could do the same thing with Night Lords, or any other Traitor Legion, by taking a Legion Centurion and making him a Legion Esoterist. Though you'll still have to wait for the 2.0 rules for Daemons to figure out which Daemons you can use.

Take a look at HH 1.0 battle reports including the Ruinstorm on youtube. Units used by demons are somewhat like this:
- HQ (Greater Daemon)
- Core (e.g. Daemonettes or Plaguebearers)
- Fast Attack (e.g. Slaanesh Cavalry or Nurgle Bloatflies)
