Anyone want to predict what GW will drop the Legends treatment on with the remainder of this edition?

My honest guess (Wrong) was baneblades, but the leaks seem to show they are giving new rules to all of them, so that's out. My other thought was the Basalisk/Earth Shaker, and the Death Strike. But those have new rules as well.

I never expected the models they did choose, I'm happy to admit that.

But what about you, anyone got any hot takes?

Anything that doesn't have a dedicated kit. If gw doesn't make it, it's out.

So does that mean all BL character models? Or any of the specialty Guard models like the SGT or the special Commissar? Sly Marbo isn't plastic, nor is Severina. Not sure about Gaunt's kit, but I doubt it. None of those ever are it feels like.

I feel it's odd that they make Marbo super powerful, but very few of the current gen can actually play him. His model was a timed release from 2 years ago right? Or 3? Anyway, it's out of production unless BL started making them again. I don't see him getting Legends Treatment.

I did think they'd reduce bloat by dropping 1 or 2 of the less welcome Russ variants off the list, but here we are. Maybe their Aircraft will get the treatment?

If the original Sentinels are no longer to spec, what will GW do to prevent people from using improperly based sentinels or Guard units in 9th?

GW hasn't made much of a fuss about base sizes, I don't think that's a motivator.

You chose all the wrong units. You should be looking at FW.

Likely to be sent to legends:
- Thudd Gun/Quad Launcher:
- Heavy Mortar
- Rapier Laser Destroyer Battery

These 3 have all been superseded by the new Ordinance Batteries.

- Malcador
- Malcador Annihilator
- Malcador Defender
- Valdor Tank Hunter
- Macharius
- Macharius Vanquisher

These 6 have all been superseded by the new Rogal Dorn. The Malcador Infernus and Macharius Vulcan might be safe as they’re very different to the Dorn. The Malcador could be safe thanks to HH rules.

Potentially on cutting block:
- Arvus Lighter
- Armageddon-pattern Basilisks
- Earthshaker Carriage Battery
- Minotaur

Not really any evidence, but they are plagued with bad rules and don’t really add anything to the Guard line-up. Armageddon-pattern Basilisks doesn't have any durability advantages over the regular Basilisk now.

That they have not. It's just a small, loud group on Reddit (and swathes of uninformed minions) that think GW has said 40k has "official" and "tournament legal" base sizes.

He is on normal sale and has always been. Seriously, this is not exactly hard to check.

How one could have assumed the Baneblade to go the way of the Dodo is beyond me as well...
