I'd hope for Solar Auxillia in plastic, but more realistic is getting plastic breachers and a Storm Eagle +/- Fire Raptor.

could see a Solar Auxillia kit actually, at least a single kit with a command frame in there, 20 models with a few options - should be less bulky than marines so usable - done with a nod to usability as Imperial Guard too I suspect it could actually be a sensible product

The infantry Tercios being in plastic would definitely lead to further sales of resin tanks and that for them.

Yes, quite the same for mechanicum. Make some plastic troops & 1 robot would lead to more resin being shifted.

Imperial Army rules. Not milita Not solar auxilia full on Imperial Army, with all of the toys the imperial guard have in 40K. I'd finally paint up my steel legion in some outlandish colour scheme to use them if they had suitable rules.

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it.

If you're wishing for Imperial Army then wish for Necromunda Spiders with their American Football armor and 2000AD design sense!

So I think we can expect the Arquitor Chassis to be along before too long. This is based on it having a track size in common with the Sicaran, the Sicaran kit having an unusually separate tread sprue, which even more you usually for Heresy includes excess linkages.

Now if we could just see some Assault Troops.

To be fair, the Solar Auxillia makes up ~25% of the Imperial Army by the start of the Heresy, and constitute the vast majority of the 1st line units.

Militia is third line, so you essentially want rules for the second line stuff and some regiments of renown that are treated as first line.

Imagine a new big box that's more or less Fast Attack vs Heavy Support/Artillery

Jetbikes and Jump Packs vs a gunline of Heavy squads in embiggened Mk3/4 resculpts, Arquitor...

Assault marines/Despoilers.

Half the legions can't really operate properly without them, and I know many people that refuse to get resin or try to convert the current tacticals into assault/despoilers due to static poses or the cost of conversions.

Every tank that comes out makes me bewildered that we haven't gotten assault marines, the major troop option for most legions. My Raven Guard and Word Bearers desperately need them.

Yeah, as it is, dreadnoughts are way overtuned and could probably use a points update if nothing else.

Other than that, what sorts of balance issues are you seeing?

I'm leaning heavily to one side trying to carry the rulebooks

while not holding my breath in any way shape or form over it the idea of the rulebooks going to be hole punched for a ring binder would be nice... So I can leave the fluff section at home along with all the legions I'm not using and seriously cut the mass of the thing

oh and finally allowing XV independent characters to get a force weapon would be nice

Have we still to see Legion upgrades?

I’ve entirely lost track of those.

What id love to see

Ruinstorm> Yes being a Word Bearers player I want Ruinstorm I want gribblies from the darkest corners of the minds of mortals quaking in bowel renching fear... Not generic Bloodletters,Plaguebearers,Daemonettes,Horrors and the associated Greater and Exalted Daemons I mean a way of creating the Daemon armies of lesser predators...
Gal Vorbak? in plastic? or an upgrade frame? the old Gal Vorbak resin minatures whilst still looking good are quite limited,
A Word Bearers plastic Praetor?

In more generalized ways

What we know is coming

Previewed were the Cerberus,Scimitar Jetbikes,A Legion recon specialist and what looks like a Sons of Horus styled Isoterist

Id love to also see Sicarian Upgrades, Also a Super Heavy kit of some sort like the Legion Glaive,Fellblade,Falchion,

Infantry upgrades for Jump pack infantry,Destroyers,

Another cheaper boxed set

Contents perhaps

x2 Praetors
x 20 MkVI Marines
x2 Contemptors

Allowing for a small skirmish level starting into the 30k system without having to spend £180 for the bigger set also allow us to pad out our armies maybe a big ask and seeing as 30k is still viewed as a niche in the community maybe not popular as Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar are still a HUGE selling point for beginners...

BIG BIG BIG ASK

Epic set in the 30k Universe...? well ya know a dude can dream.

I'd like to see infantry upgrades for despoilers/assault marines and breachers first, so people can field all the Line choices more easily.
If they could do them compatible with Mk II-VI, including different arms, that would be awesome but maybe a steep ask.

Other than that I wish for plastic Mk II. FW don't list the Mk ii squads anymore except assault squad so I can hope.

I'm with you on all of this.

But I see next years' box as including the known and most asked for Core new releases.

30 mk XX marines (mk II is my wish)
Conversion kit for despoilers/assault marines/breachers
3 Scimitars
Cerberus?
2 Consuls

That would allow for a theoretic matchup of

Consul 1 e.g MoS
10 breachers
Cerberus/Typhon

Vs

Consul 2 w Jump pack
20 assault marines/Despoilers
3 Scimitars (w multimeltas)

Though I doubt they would include a LoW in a box set so would probably be something else e.g a Sicaran variant.

Sicaran variant turret sprues and a Sicaran Venator would be Ace.

Epic 30k is great, I play it using using the EpicAU HH ruleset (munitorum.com for army builder). You can do 6 or 8mm, we mix in the newer AI and AT flyers and war engines. Everything is available to 3dprint but if GW would rerelease the ruleset and some infantry/vehicles, or just create it in steps as Titanicus optional expansions, yeah that would attract a lot more players without 3dprint access and be cool. Should happen sooner or later but realistically with 40k 10th and WFB Old World being big projects it's gonna happen after those is my guess.

if I had to guess, the stuff in the new black books is likely on a roadmap for plastic, the stuff outside them isn't (yet)

so a nice future ahead

Been thinking about it, and despite it being a long shot of the highest order, i'd REALLY like to see a plastic MkIV Castra-ferrum dreadnought kit. I know stylistically, you can get a reasonable MkIV mashup by combining both the Venerable and Ironclad dreadnought kits, but it'd be nice to have a dedicated MkIV model (hopefully with all the bells and whistles).

Would be nice for CSM players who don't need fleshy bits on their vehicles too.

as someone who is interested in getting started, i'd love a "getting started" set, even if it is basically just half the age of darkness box's miniatures.

There was rumours of a set of 40k/Aos style beginner boxes based around the contents of the AoD box. I'm kinda guessing they might not have been true though, as we'd likely have seen them by now.

My current wishlist:

Assault Marines and Breachers. They have to do both, whether as a combined kit (unlikely) or by producing add-on kits. I see it as something like this:

- basic Assault Marines. I think it's unlikely that these will be anything other than Mk VI
- upgrade set with jump packs and maybe some terrain bits to make flying bases (I hate those spindly flying stands)
- upgrade set to build Breachers. While Mk VI armour looks fine on most other units, it isn't ideal (IMO) for Breachers. So I'd want some additional bits to make the armour heavier looking

A customisable plastic Consul - maybe 2 different basic types, with different ranges of upgrades.

A Javelin (I think this is very likely)

Then, while I expect there will be more plastic Marine tanks, I'd want them to branch off into a different faction and at least cover the basics with plastic kits.

Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

perhaps they could update the Mk.III armor to match the new size of the Mk.VI sprue, and make a breacher squad upgrade kit that can be used with either? since the Mk.VI style builds have separate hands, such a kit could be mostly the shields, with hands molded on so it could be used with either armor.

could possible also include the arms and weapons for the assault unit. alternately, they update the Mk.IV armor as well and release the assault upgrade set as part of it.
