Great news, we've just been informed by Trench Crusade that the next three plastic box sets are under way, planned for release March 2026.
We'll be taking pre-orders very soon, make sure you keep an eye on our announcements so you don't miss out.
The next three sets will be:
Sniper Priests,
Prussian Yeomen,
Prussian Stosstrupen.
We looking forward to seeing the first pictures of the figures as much as you are!
Spoiler:
Thanks for sharing, I will look forward to these with anticipation. I had hoped for mechanised infantry, but this'll do. Hopefully more shotguns are included as options for either.

Project Update #62 wrote:December Book delivery update
Greetings Crusaders,
We have a new update for you on the delivery of the book!
EU/UK/RoW
Deliveries began last week, and a certain number of you have already received your books!
However, only about 1/3rd have gone out, so if you haven't received your notification email yet, you don’t need to worry. Shipping is probably going to last about 2 more weeks, so please be patient while our logistics partners work their way through the thousands of orders going out during the already busy holiday season.
You’ll receive a tracking email from UPS when your book ships. This will be sent to the email you used on your Backerkit account. The delivery will be coming from GREEN LOGISTICS POLSKA SP. Z O.O.
USA/CA Some bad news on this front I’m afraid folks: we’ve been informed that the shipment of books will not be arriving until the 27th of December now. As a result, deliveries will not begin until the new year. We apologize for this delay, but it is completely outside of our control. Whilst we were expecting a delay of a few days due to the busy season, we weren’t expecting nearly two weeks. We’re currently discussing dates with the logistics company and will have more info in the next update.
Book version
The version of the rules in the book is 1.0. The book contains about a dozen small errors which got past us into print, but they are all very minor, and none of them will cause any issues with play. You can consult the errata here.
However, as we have said from the start, the rulebook is a living document. It was always meant to undergo regular updates to better adapt to the evolving state of the game, new releases, etc.
Originally we did not plan to update the rules any time soon, but given the way the project has grown and allowed us to develop our design team, we’ve already been able to publish an updated version 1.0.1., which you can download from the Rules page of our website.
To clarify however, the 1.0 ruleset is still 100% relevant and playable, and is the Trench Crusade you all know and love. Nothing is going to change that!
Book Delivery issues
Should you have any issues with the delivery of your book, you can contact us at customer.service@trenchcrusade.com. Please do not contact us asking where your book is until we have announced in an update that the shipping for your region is complete. As mentioned above, you will receive a tracking email when your book is dispatched.
Replacements
If your book arrives with any major issues that would compromise its use, such as rips or large dents, we will of course send out a replacement. Please understand however that we will not be able to issue replacements for small scratches, dents and similar minor damage.
Concerning packaging, it seems like part of the first wave of books was not sent out with the same level of protection that we received our sample copies in. The reason for this is something we’re still trying to ascertain with our supplier. In any case, this has since been corrected.
Miniatures
The delivery of Wave 2 now covers all those who supplied their delivery details before September this year. S3D are currently packaging the final orders.
If you have any issues with the minis you have received, or if there was something missing from your order, please reach out to S3D at hello@3dcltd.com and they will help you.
If you haven’t yet filled out your Backerkit, please note that you must do it before the end of the year or you risk not getting your rewards.
You can log into your Backerkit account to finalise it. You can also use the link in your original email or access your account using this link: https://trench-crusade-tabletop.backerkit.com/.
Apple Pay IDs As a reminder: Backers who pledged to the campaign using an AppleID but haven't completely set up their Apple Pay account (linking their email address to their Apple Wallet) will have issues receiving their emails from BackerKit. Please contact us here and provide us with an alternative email address.
We're sorry for the delay on these guys but very excited that we've been able to expand the set with more models! Instead of 7 you now get 11 32mm Trench Missionaries!
We're just waiting for the boxes to print in both the US and UK and we'll have these packed and shipped off to you! Check out the set here!
Have received mine too. Absolutely astounding quality rulebook - the level of presentation, artwork of tremendous quality on almost every page you open. I haven't been this struck by a new rulebook for many years, you can really see it was a labour of love for those involved.
I liked the little dedication to Paul Sawyer on the first pages too. Aparently he gave Tuomas his first leg up in the business when he arrived at GW as a youngster.
Project Update #63: Trench Crusade by Factory Fortress INC wrote:January book delivery update
Greetings Crusaders!
The Trench Crusade team wishes you a very Happy new year! We hope you had a restful time over the holidays.
We were awaiting news from our logistics partners regarding the delivery of the book, and we heard from them this morning, so we have some information for you!
EU/RoW backers
The logistics company is back this week after their break. As of today, 6900 books have been shipped, with another 1000 awaiting pickup by the shipping provider.
That leaves about 1000 books left to ship out. We’ve been told that shipping should be more or less finished by the 16th of January. Please note that this timeline estimate is for all the books being sent out, not arriving at destination; please account for delivery times based on where you live. For example, for our backers in Australia, please expect longer delivery times as books are being shipped from Europe.
NA backers
The books arrived at port over the holidays and cleared customs without incident. They’re scheduled for delivery to the logistics company late next week. The current estimate for shipping beginning in earnest is the 22nd of January, as they will need time to process the orders and get everything packaged.
There are 15,000 books to ship, so they estimate that everything will take until at least late February to ship out. Once your book is shipped out, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking information.
Book delivery issues
Should you have any issues with the delivery of your book, you can contact us at customer.support@trenchcrusade.com. Please do not contact us asking where your book is until we have announced in an update that the shipping for your region is complete. As mentioned above, you will receive a tracking email when your book is dispatched.
Replacements
If your book arrives with any major issues such as rips, large dents, etc that would compromise the use of the book we will of course send out a replacement. Please understand however that we will not be able to issue replacements for small scratches, dents and similar minor damage.
If you need a replacement for your book, please send us an email along with photos of the damage to customer.support@trenchcrusade.com and we will do our best to help.
Miniatures and replacements
S3D have informed us that there are currently just over 100 replacement requests remaining to be sent out, and they will have them all complete by the end of next week.
A certain number of you have been expressing disappointment at the quality of the minis you received. We would be lying if we claimed to be 100% satisfied with the service we’ve received from S3D on this project. We are aware that they let their usual quality control slip during the final stages in their rush to complete fulfillment. While we are sympathetic to the fact that this Kickstarter was far larger than anticipated and S3D ran into some severe technical difficulties, poor quality is not what you paid for, and it is not acceptable to us.
Please know that S3D are obliged to provide you with the same high quality, undamaged minis the majority of backers received. If that is not the case, they will replace them for you: we insist on that. We know that having to reach out asking for replacements is inconvenient and that wait times are frustrating, but S3D will get it done. We will make sure of it.
We sincerely apologize to backers who have been affected by this, rest assured that we will make it right. We thank you for your patience as S3D get the final replacements resolved.

I've seen some very critical comments about Trench Crusade recently, but I think a lot of it is just the usual BS by Youtubers trying to attract hits with negativity. They have clearly had some problems delivering on their Kickstarter, and seem to have reconsidered their original approach to use of their IP, but you have to cut them some slack as a very new business - and at least they are owning their problems rather than bullshitting people. I'm still not sold on the game, but their investment in quality plastic miniatures is encouraging.

The amount of buzz around this game on SM in terms of sheer volume of people posting their miniatures, artwork and discussing the game is ridiculous. Honestly I don't think I have ever seen so much for something that is not a GW game.
It will be interesting to see if it can maintain and solidify into a solid player base - my own thoughts on this are that it will depend on how accessible & fun the game is, beyond the modelling & painting side.

They've been accused of 'doing a GW' and going after people who are getting too close to it - however it seems to be mainly etsy people selling their actual models than legit 3rd-parties (Wargames Atlantic are still selling their Trench Missionaries, for example).

Yeah its crazy that in one year they've gone from basically one of the standard small time hobby ventures to being main stream and already pushing into plastic production on their own investment. That's a crazy fast turn around that other games would dream of or can only achieve with the backing of a bigger firm like Wayland and so on.

If you’re talking about the Janovich video, it hit a bullseye in my opinion. And no, it’s not hatebait, just weighed analysis.

Got curious so I sought out the video mentioned above
Seems completely valid throughout (even if the tone is overly sensationalistic) and includes issues I was not even aware of (aggressive copyright striking) as well as things I predicted (exploding War Wolf epidemic of 2026)

Slicers don't generally detect resin traps, I've seen a button for it in the latest version of Chitubox but that is a first and I have no clue how accurate it is or how it fixes things. Until now the only solution was to either fix the mesh by hand in sculpting software, or use UVtools on an already sliced file, which is very computer intensive as it checks if each pixel of each layer has a connection to the outside by going up and down all the thousands of layers of each object, and is not something you'd want to be doing on every print.

So are these bits to add to WW1 figures, with a couple of add on figures, or is this a 3d printer owner only game?
It looks interesting, but they seem to have the same issues Wyrd, and Privateer Press had in thier infancy... too much talk, not enough bottle.
I can see them turning it around though. Using Wargames Atlantic for figures is a great start. You all using Mark 1's, and German A7V's?
is it even in that phase yet, or just the starter gangs?
I'm interested, but not sure of thier staying power, just yet. I'd like to put together a base gang, to test them out.
for the uninitiated, what's a team starter box look like? Yes, I've seen the gakshow, but there's none of that in my house, so I leave that to the you tubbers to go on about.
right now, I'm just an interested party, after On The Table top intro'ed them.
I'm not committed to them to kickstart it, just interested in the WW1 aspect, and those crazy 60mm freaks and ghoulies. I'd be fine with the gang. Do they have the Devil Dogs, or the Lost Battalion types, yet?

What kind of scale are we looking at for those Prussians. Seems in the 32mm range at a glance. Is that what the designers aimed for, or is (was?) the game meant to be scale agnostic with it full on conversion roots?
Nehekhara lives! Sort of!

Yes, 32mm scale. Same as the STLs. Bases sizes are important.

The Kickstarter is long over and the majority delivered. I'm not sure what suggests a lack of 'bottle'? They've just released hard plastic, multi-option kits for their Prussians which, if nothing else, indicates a fairly substantive commitment (and a willingness to make use of the unexpected success of the KS). It's the only current starter box (as such) available but it's honestly impressive how quickly they've got that to market. They've partnered with Archon to produce their plastic kits going forward. There are official sculpts done for all the major factions which are available as STLs (or physical prints from Only Games but that's a gamble) but they're perfectly happy with kitbashing.
The Wargames Atlantic kit is very much a third-party 'Trench-adjacent' thing designed/commissioned by a You-tuber and isn't official (it actively makes no sense in terms of the lore of the setting).
Honestly, the only real element of it so far that I'd remotely consider a 'gakshow' is their initial partnering with Only-Games to produce the physical prints of their STLs as part of the KS. Factory Fortress themselves seem to be far from pleased with the results and actively called them out on the lack of consistent quality in the most recent KS update. Suspect that's at least in part why they pushed into hard plastics from another manufacturer so early.

I'm going to go ahead and stick what I said, based on experience, and being in the wargaming gig for as long as I remember.
You can't defend the nonsense with anything other then top tier quality figures. Especially when you come to the table with a lot of talk, hopes, and dreams.
We've seen it once, we've seen it a thousand times, with as many games and "Companies" on a list as long as my arm.
I'm interested, as I said, but from what I've seen of it, you take the bull by the horns, put your contacts together with your "Legends of the Industry", and get to work from the basics. "Lack of bottle" is just that. Grow the stones, or step aside and give the project to someone who's not afraid to get thier hands dirty.
Facts are facts. KICKSTARTER, as your medium for raising money for games is pretty much dead/ dying. Too many broken promises, and thieves in the night.
If Pirinen wants to get right with the lord, he buckles down, gets a small, hungry and scrappy bunch together, takes, or delegates a shop monkey to take the book down to Kinkos/ Staples/ wherever, or puts a contract with a printer/ or contracts with solid quality like Osprey, and cranks out a book. Project Management is not rocket science, contrary to popular opinion. Set goals, Benchmarks, Targets, and get to work, and crack the whip.
Second, contracts the figures old school, or prints 1 figure out of each troop, and sends them to a figure maker, or sends them to someone who knows more then just how to turn a 3d printer on. Second choice, is bite the bullet, and make these buggers out of plastic/ sans Wargames Atlantic (Which I suggest, and put a rush on it.)
Third is the excuses. Stop. Stop blaming everyone for everything, because at the end of the day, the attitude, and arrogance are leaving money on the table. End of the day, we can get nasty about it, or push the game in a positive direction, as we should do in the first place. Leadership comes when you step up, apologize, and take the slings and arrows, and push the ball forward into the goal.
I'm not going to fight about it, because this game really does look interesting.

...Not to sound rude but I'm not sure what elicited that response? Like, I don't disagree with much of the broad sentiment (cliché ridden as it was), I just don't see how it's particularly relevant to Trench Crusade? KS may well be a dying method for launching a game but TC did exceptionally well and the issues have largely been regarding the production of the physical prints of the STLs by Only Games (something Factory Fortress have acknowledged and are directly responding to). They ARE making future releases out of plastic (and very good quality ones too) so there's every indication that they're already doing most/much of what (I think?) you're advocating for. Sorry, I may have missed something; your post just felt a bit dramatic, referencing some 'nastiness', 'arrogance' and 'blame' that seemed to come from nowhere.

They literally just print the STLs that Factory Fortress are sending them, which are also faulty and badly designed if you print them "as downloaded" yourself.
Literally ever single missing arm or broken detail from an Only-Game delivery is the fault of Factory Fortress and nobody else, and them trying to shift the blame instead of owning their mistakes is what is no small part of what people describe as "arrogance" or "shifty behaviour" or whatever.

Fair enough if that's folks' take and I'll fully admit that I don't print myself so I'm probably a bit more insulated from any criticisms towards FF there. I just know that there was a LOT of scepticism over using Only Games in the first place given they have a long-standing reputation for poor quality control and lacklustre customer service.
Grot 6 wrote: So are these bits to add to WW1 figures, with a couple of add on figures, or is this a 3d printer owner only game?
Very much a both-and situation I think. While the new figures are on the bigger end of 32mm, AFAIK, kitbashing historical 28mm minis was the start and I think it's still accepted. I think though that over time, you'll see less full on kitbashing and more modification of 3d prints and official plastics.
Our group plays once in a while. Between us we've got 2 forces of converted historicals, 2 forces made of 3d printed official designs and one weirdo (Eilif I think...) using slightly converted Mage Knight Khamsin figures.

The only errors I got with my pledge (almost everything) were packing mistakes; I got two lots of Trench Pilgrims instead of half the Anchorite, two of the same Anointed, stuff like that. Errors like that are definitely down to those making/packing the orders, not the design of the models.
