I can’t find a Gencon preview from them last year either.

Possibly still on 10th ed 40K hype train, with most of their area set up to do demos of that - though interestingly at the GW events side of thing it's very heavily Kill team focused.
Including Action Figure Kill Team, which I don't think I'd seen before as an official event.

Generally pointy claws though, and I don't think any are armed with knuckle dusters in the Far Stalkers Kinband. The wrist armour/forearm might not be a million miles away from the Cut-Skin's though..

Still expecting it because that's the natural spot to spoil all the 10th marine stuff after Tyranids got a big release a week ago. Perhaps even with dates for the first codex release and models

Surely it would’ve been announced by now? It’s this weekend.

Base? Scenery? Not immediately recognising the armour.

Looks like Death stuff on a base, has an ancient feel to it.

The helmet makes me think of the new death rattle skeletons. Is that a plaguebearer skull at the top of the stairs?

Are they coming out of the stone steps or have they been blasted into it?

If we’re at the bottom of steps looking up? It almost looks as if something has run down from the top to encase them. But that wouldn’t explain the rocky bits.

I love the look of that! Reminds me of the scene were Conan finds his sword in Conan The Barbarian. Feels like a scenic base rather than terrain.

I originally thought it was looking down but the placement of the skull at the top of the image makes me think we are looking up

Yeah that’s my thinking too. Very steep and shallow steps though.

I'm wondering if the coloured stuff is coming down the stairs in a wave darker coloured (than the stone) cooling something.

If it was hot, I don't think you'd have grass specifically growing next to the skeletons - could it be the return of Aekold Helbrass?

It could be that it's acidic troll vomit - it partially digested the armoured dudes, and is melting the stone. We have some background descriptions for a huge troll-like creature in one of the 'Harbingers' stories iirc, and have other stuff that might be related in the rumour engine.

Don't tease me like that. I just saw him (briefly) in a new Warhammer Total War III trailer today

(Yes, I'm still salty about Aekold being reduced to a severed tongue used as a magic item )

Top of the stairs is the top of the photo I’d say. As the skull there looks to be say on the top step as it were.

Looks like yeah with the grass etc it’s old and the skeletons have been there a long time.

Ghouls, necromancer, marauders?

You mean Cities of Sigmar right or possibly elves, but perhaps not quite as delicate workmanship as they'd make. So yeah I'd settle on that being a fine warhammer held by some knight on foot or horseback or perhaps a unit of armour bashing hammer troops.

Just the kind of weapons a king would make sure his noble warriors had for battle
