It's a dangly incense burner, but I don't think we can rule out 40k.

I'm going to take a guess and say it's a new Dark Angels veteran upgrade sprue (maybe it's just a new generic DA upgrade sprue for them, but still.) We know Dark Angels are coming and they'll likely get more kits than what we initially saw teased. Both Black Templars and DA use censers, though I doubt the BT will get anything new for a long while. The old veteran upgrade kit had a few censers as well, which also had rope.

To be fair it does look vehicle related. There's a long flat edge at the bottom of the frame of the photo.

Could be a new Inquisitor Karamazov model.

Either part of Deathwing Knights, or a proper upgrade set for DA like templars have.

We already saw the Deathwing Knights.

Also fits perfectly well in an inquisitorial retinue, but of course it could be a lot of religious things in either universe

Even if we didn't, they don't tease stuff for things already previewed...with exceptions for mistakes like the one giant.

It might be for a Dark Angels Kill-Team, since they seem to be digging real deep into "lulz we need moar marines!1!" for that, as evidenced by the Night Lords "Kill Team".

Except it has a standing base. None of BA/DA/BT censers that dangle from anything have these, so I'd say it's pretty unlikely.

The closest thing that comes to mind is Dark Apostle mook censer but it's not chaos-y at all so thankfully it isn't more chaos gak...

Not exactly.

The Shadow Aelves are the dominant race and power in the Shadow Realm - the DoK share the same realm but are basically in a tiny corner of it. So they share some of the same shadow magics and elements and Morathi has even summoned shadow demons/monsters (though these are only in the story and have no model representation). The closest we got is the Morathi invaded a City of Sigmar that was basically "Dark Elf Central" which kind of gave an expansion book the ability to rebuild the Dark Elf army of old.


Shadow Aelves still have not really appeared in the setting besides a few mentions in stories here and there. It's the last "BIG" faction that has yet to make any appearance and their God is similarly absent from many stories. Waiting in the Shadows literally at present it seems.

Interesting. I was pretty stumped by this one, but it does tie nicely to the existing Shadow Elf models.

Well Shadow Elves has been circling around, not a lot of info about them yet. And that Warcry warband being only clue what to expect.

It looks attached to something like a backpack rather than a weapon. Could be owt. Looks Dark Eldar or Elves or Slaanesh or down that sort of vibe.

Awesome! DoK haven't had a release in the last five miniutes. I was starting to think GW had forgotten about them.
