Hi all, this question might have been done to death but in todays game, which would be the better option for fast attack between a two bike squad or a two landspeeder squad? Both with Multis, and they’d be in a basic iron hands army, so usually with a tech marine and iron father.

Well, firepower is similar. Attack bikes have the twin boltguns that the speeders lose, but no big deal I guess.

A speeder for 10 more points you get +2 wounds, +4 movement, +1 toughness.... some decent stat bonuses for not too many points.

If you have the points I'd say the speeders are probably better. The main draw of the attack bikes IMO is that if you are running an Apothecary you can resurrect them. If you're using an Apothecary anyway, you might go with the attack bikes, otherwise go with the land speeders.

This is basically an old question as both models are ''old school''.
You cannot do something wrong deciding for one of both.

Another advantage speeder has. Fly. Compare to bike that has to move around ruins.

I'd go for the Primaris Invader and work from there.

Attack Bikes also have the Core keyword, which means they can be buffed for rerolls. For my Ravenwing this is a big deal and I always take Attack Bikes with Multimeltas.

If you see them mostly operating off on their own without a buffing character then it’s not as important and the manoeuvrability of Land Speeders with Fly can be a big advantage.

Good hunting!

All you have to do is fire three rounds a minute, and stand

Normally the 2 units are much of the same, although bikes are slightly smaller and easier to hide and also core which is always nice.

For you though, Iron Hands and using the Iron Father, the speeders would be better than usual as he can buff the entire unit with +1 to hit. Even better if they are Tornadoes - take the assault cannon too and use them for some kind of alpha strike.
