Hey, yes, as the vehicle was unlocked at the last minute of the campaign I appreciate most people won’t have had the chance to add this to their pledges or even add additional boxes in order to include it with their pledges. Kinda does... but it's also listed as a 45$ addon when the rest are 35$

Oof I certainly hope they include it as selectable. I finally hopped in when the vehicle was imminent specifically because I wanted to give them my business for getting into the vehicle game. The language in the pledges specifically says "choose any (#) of the unlocked boxes", but I honestly didn't even notice they were different prices.

I'm planning a very similar color scheme for my troops. They will be different from the kill Team and BSF traitor guard.

Kinda related: the arms of the Damned should be compatible with other WGA kits, so I'm planning to build some ratlings with snipers and WGA Halflings. Now only an enginseer techpriest is missing to represent all infantry options if I recall correctly

Careful, WGA halflings are MESBG scale, so extremely petite on top of being short.

hopefully the vehicle price is another break for 'real' backers who got a multi box deal and we'll be able to select it as a pick

although even if we can't i'll get one, be churlish not to since it got unlocked

It's the one kit I can't make up my mind on. It will likely depend on how easy it is to add extra boxes for me.

I imagine I'll probably ignore the vehicle, there's plenty of good not-40k vehicle STLs out there and a vehicle is easier for me to print than 24 dudes.

Yep, (correction) bigger than LOTR but still very small, especially the hands. If you want halfling snipers from WGA, you're probably going to have to get rifles from a historical kit or some other 28/25mm line that runs toward the smaller/truer scale.

Those look really nice, unfortunately they seem to be sufficient to get in Germany and don't look that much like ... Damned. (They look damned good but not damned ... Haha ... )

I like that the WGA Halflings medival look, the chainmail matches a lot of the typical GW Chaos styles.

With their rounded chest plates, The Mantic halflings are halfway to a damned aesthetic already, but if you want chain mail hobbits in heroic scale, I don't know what's out there.

I do think there are Mantic Halflings with more plate armor too though. Could maybe lean into the Chaos warrior aesthetic?

yooo they definitely are not. WGA Halflings are definitely heroic proportions, they are taller and their heads are 100% larger in volume than SBG Hobbits.

That's true. I'll correct my post. However, the WGA halflings still do have tiny hands compared to WGA and most other companies SCI FI figures., Making weapon swaps difficult. You could use sniper rifles from WW2 kits, but they'd look awful small next to the rest of the force's weaponry.

Slightly shaving down the hands and resculpting them smaller would be a fun learning experience. The GW ratlings in Blackstone fortress hat disproportionately large hands, so just using three big hands might work too. The real issue would be the shoulder width. If I'm lucky and the weapons and arms are modeled like the cannon fodder or deathstrike upgrade sprue, the left hand isn't modeled into the fun and I'm more flexible with the position. I will wait and see (almost a curse this fraise) how the sniper weapon is done, if the hands are separate this project will be a lot easier.

I know we are still on the high of the Damned campaign, but I'm really glad to see the progress on the new cavalry mounts that was previewed.

And I know some brought up camels the other day. What's the chances of that? I always wanted to do an all-American Civil War kit bash were camels were used more prominently.
