If accurate, about on par with normal missile launcher devastators damage per point/worse than lascannon devastators once you realise you pick frag or krak - not both like every other imperial missile launcher (why take a krak only missile launcher when other dedicated anti tank is available).

Which is a shame, a decent missile launcher unit would be nice to see...
Yeah, they're less gratuitously stupid looking but they're still quite silly. It really does make a lot more sense for missile launchers to be shoulder mounted, and if they just made a more boxy version of the existing marine launcher or a multi-barrelled one (that wouldn't have looked that far off a real world launcher). Are any of the Guard tank hunter killer missiles small enough to not look silly on a marine?

I have many complaints about these models (and a lot of the Primaris silliness), but I don’t think that’s fair. The article specifically mentions that some of the missiles are indirect fire weapons and even if it’s a direct fire version you’re not going to use a missile against an Ork standing 5 feet in front of you!
Then what's the point of power armor?!

So only the pop-gun and the sgt special rifle are indirect fire, and the frag and krak just tamp down the RanDumb d6 rolls to d3+3.
Anti-tank by weight of fire kinda works, I guess. Not really sold on 165 pts for 5 S8 AP-2 shots seems... iffy. And only 4 shots if the sergeant is stuck with the other gun.
Feels like another mediocre primaris unit that will need multiple tuning updates, but I'll admit I'd rather be underwhelmed than see these awful models on tables in droves.

Yeah, kind of feel if they release with those leaked rules they are a very good counter to the whole "GW make new stuff OP to sell models" argument. Given GW can presumably count, I have to assume we are missing something significant.
I'm tempted to say the models must get either 2 Superfrag or Superkrak missiles. Don't know if that's too crazy, but it would seem the obvious answer - and fits what's on the model.

With those missile launchers, they must.
But so far, I'm having a hard time figuring out how these guys are worth it compared to traditional Devstators. It's not like the extra slap attack is worth a whole lot...

Honestly, they don't need to do that. Most primaris units have been a cycle of 'pretty bad' revised multiple times to 'well, I guess that's decent.' Some still haven't managed those heady heights. No need to bog down this thread with that bunk.

Favourite thing about that model? The dead Gobbo.
Not because dead Gobbos are inherently funny (well…they are), but because the close placement of the aces embedded in the poor thing give us an idea of just how fast the machine hurls it’s ammunition. Just a nice little “oh yeah” detail.

Without scrolling the whole thread.
Has the Battletome order been addressed?
The article says BoC and Gitz for winter, and then Seraphon planned for late spring alongside 3 others.
But then the picture is 5 Spring, 1 so far Summer being Seraphon.
It seems odd.
Do we know what the order and the two each of Chaos and Death times for Spring are?
And as to why they say late Spring for Seraphon but put it in the Summer section..

BOLS has an article that more or less reasons it out, and comes to the conclusion:
We’re not 100% sure but here’s how we’d do it:
Spring
Order – Seraphon
Chaos – Blades of Khorne
Chaos – Hedonites of Slaanesh
Death – Ossiarch Bonereapers
Death – Flesh Eater Courts
Summer
Order – Kharadron Overlords
https://www.belloflostsouls.net/2022/11/age-of-sigmar-we-need-to-talk-about-the-2023-roadmap.html
Obviously, we now know that the summer spot is Seraphon, so Kharadron Overlords may be moved to spring, or the spring slot is something completely different.
As for the confusion about Spring/Summer: there may still be all sorts of logistics issues behind that schedule, they apparently still have problems in sourcing packaging materials and distrubitung stuff to all markets in a timely manner, so a delay of a couple of weeks may still be in the cards, who knows. Maybe they got confused themselves, maybe they're playing it safe, maybe it's just as trivial as battletome/preorders in late spring and release of the majority of models in early summer. We have no way to find out.

Recently when the release dates have been vague like that it's been due to the existence of an army box muddying the waters. So we might see something like a Seraphon army box in May, followed by the main battletome release and more models in June.

I guess those sound about right.
Perhaps because they are previewing models for Seraphon but not the others, we might be looking at a character at most for those ones if we haven’t seen anything else for them in previews by now.
Would have liked to have seen something bigger update wise with Duardin in some form.
For either of their tomes even

There is some stuff in the rumour engine that fits the Slaaneshi aesthetics, some blades, a broken statue that's probably part of a characters base, and there's some skull/hair/claw stuff that could easily be FEC, so some limited character stuff or a couple of boxes for them is not out of the question.

It's definitely Slaanesh and Khorne for Chaos. Those are the only books left. Death are two out of FEC, Bonereapers and Soulblight. Hot money is on FeC coming later with quite a few new minis. Seraphon are getting a Fomo box before their main release so the box will probably come in late Spring with the rest of the release in Summer. The next book at the start of spring is almost certainly Kharadron Overlords.

Kharadron is only one left for spring. Well CoS upgrade but good luck for anybody thinking that big upgrade comes next
Maybe it's just seraphon being bigger update so longer hype time for them. Automatically Appended Next Post: Chikout wrote:

Well it's KO or CoS. We know order is next so that leaves KO or CoS. And as CoS is big upgrade it would have to be seen by now...
Biggest mystery is which death drew short stick and will either chaos or death combo be dual release or separate(and in this case which order. khorne, then slaanesh or reverse?) and are there dual boxes.

" Azreal13 wrote:Why are people so desperate to "fix" the missile launcher action figures?
They've pretty universally been panned on any platform I've seen them discussed, and yet people are still talking about saving them!
Don't!
Collectively we got here because GW have realised they can turn out any old gak and people buy it, plus a percentage of other kits too as people pick up whatever they feel they need in bits to execute their plan. Which, let's face it, is probably only really followed through on in a percentage of cases.
GW don't care that you think the kit you bought sucked, and you "fixed" them. Your money looks exactly the same in their bank account as the money of somebody who loved them.
If you think they're awesome, fill your boots, no judgement (well, maybe a little...) But all you do as a member of the "I hate them, I'm only buying two boxes" crowd is send the message that, at worst, you're indifferent to the design, or, at worse, you enthusiastically want more of it.
