It's almost certainly going to start that way (& titans). Which, to be fair, is exactly how Epic started too

Dang. Now I don't know what I want to do with my heresy stuff. I already have some MK 6s I was going to convert up, but now I can just wait for a few months to get official models...

"Command Legions" can only mean Epic. My Epic nostalgia is for Epic 40,000 though so my excitement is somewhat tempered.

It'll be HH Epic to start out, just like the original. But that does at least make it easier to branch out into more AdMech, Imperial Army, and Chaos stuff for a while before xenos.

Gimme Banelords and Ordinatus engines!

I mean true, but that's going back to the 80s
Heck my into to wargaming was Titan Legions and even by then it was Orks VS Imperials in the boxed set.

It might at least explain why the AT release have been so sparring as of late - I can still hope that we see it a true Imperial VS Chaos release

Just to remind people resin does NOT mean finecast.

But still I don't think we all want base heroes from FW (War-Com article up, quote, "Our first two new models from Warhammer: The Old World are a Tomb King from Nehekhara and a Bretonnian Paladin. They’re both resin models, and they’re the first of many we’ll see before the game is out. New models for the game will be released in Citadel plastic and Forge World resin, and they’ll join a whole range of resurrected and revitalised miniatures from prior editions of Warhammer Fantasy Battles – in plastic, resin, and metal – to make satisfyingly varied armies.").

I'm more interested what the 'mystery army' is supposed to be...

Logic says it should be either Mechanicum or some sort of Imperial Army force, which probably means it will be Beastmen or old-style Squats instead...

So Autumn's Dread is Deredeo and MK is III. Now we can start to speculate which LoW will get the plastic treatment. My bet is Fellblade.

Probably (and hopefully) Mechanicum. They have the most extensive range after marines I think. I would take Solar Auxilia, but I think that’s a lot less likely.

Dark Mechanicum, just to troll the Loyalists and 40k ones

Maybe the mystery army release is just a new big box, like it was rumoured?

Oof. The first two new things for TOW are resin characters. That's disappointing. They look great, but I am not dealing with Foregeworld nonsense.

They specified on the stream that there were non-marine releases coming, it makes sense for the mystery army release to be that (as everything else is marine related).

I think if there'd be a Fellblade, they would have teased it in the road map. They also just updated the resin kit to take the plastic sponsons. I guess they'd rather put in some of the many tank kits, the Age of Darkness box also had some old Cataphractii to bolster out the contents.

Edit: Lords of War could be a Fellblade, thinking about it.

That's what 'Epic' originally started out as. The HH allowed them to have marines and titans using the same sprues for both sides. Im sure theyll add some Xenos and perhaps expand out to a more current 40k setting at a later date if it proves popular

I'm not going to re-read the lunacy that is the last few pages of this thread, but I'd be very surprised if anyone actually said that. Even that one guy banging on about how relatively difficult it might be for an Inquisitor to acquire power armour, I don't think even that guy said that.
