Hey guys,
You have seen prettier models, 3D printed models, awesomely painted models...you have done them yourself...
Just wanted to present a 100% scratch made "Mech" done with plastic junk, hot glue, cardboard and rattle can/acrilic markers painting. It took 2 hours total.
"Parts" used:
Plastic cooling duct from an old laptop - left "arm"
Piece of sun glasses frames: back of left arm
Adaptor piece from rainex wiper blades-right arm
Plunger from a small syringe-back of right arm
Large plastic screw - top back "energy coil"
Small wooded pieces-bordering the "coil"
Plastic nut from a level of a tool box - top over the arms
Plastic electric plug from Christmas lights-cockpit on the front
Small wooden bit - front left arm
Small plastic bits for the legs over cardboard
Plastic angle brackets from inside of drawers - feet
Miscellaneous other small bits that my son keeps in his box.
Hot glued all parts together. Primed with automotive primer. Painted accent colors and details. Weathered lightly and clearcoated.
Last picture is my son's "parts box" that we replenish with all kinds of small bits and pieces.
Definitely NOT a model to boast about.
Just amazed what a 7 year's old imagination can achieve when given plastic scrap and hot glue and some paint and support.
Happy modeling.
PS. Apologies for the rotated pics, not sure why they appear that way vs the rest:(

Cool original design. I especially like the legs and feet, they look like they are using some super smart engineering principle that a laymen wouldn't understand (but in a good way, to be clear haha).
