First, having seen similar datacards, are there any rules reasons one couldn’t field new Sternguard and old Firstborn Sternguard models in the same squad? I don’t see any Primaris designation.

Second, do we have rules for Lion’s Risen units anywhere?

1. Assuming the equipment is allowed on the new datacard there really shouldn't be any rule reason. One issue that might show up is base size. We don't know the size of the new unit so that may be an issue.

2. So far no. We may get them in the new DA Codex next spring.

Thank you... dang on the second one (trying to make a few 30k models for 40k deathwing/command squad to follow the Lion around)

I feel like/hope that we're seeing the beginning or merging the old models and the new for marines... kinda looks like it

This was directly asked in the FAQ section following the presentation and they clarified they're NOT merging the types.

"No merge of primaris and firstborn flst out just minatures trying to be designed to be cool. Only terminators can be whichever due to their size."

that's good to know... but presenters in a QnA have a history of misstating things (and aren't RAW or even RAI).

That being said, I'd love to read that through QnA (do you know where I can find it)
