Really tepid so far, just trailers:

A chaos 'legendary hero' for TW3 that they seem to have made up on the spot (vaguely based on Harry the Hammerer, I guess, but completely different)

some expansion pack for a HH cardgame
some mobile game.

Other than that, mostly nondescript teaser-trailers and footage we had seen before, and so many mobile games.

All smoke, no fire once again.

Can't really say there was anything I felt made the whole thing worth watching. The brief looks at games like Rogue Trader and Space Marine 2 were nice, but in terms of proper big announcements...hardly anything.

One day people will stop doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Realms of Ruin (RTS for AoS) was the only major announcement.

I tuned out hard on 'warhammer content' for Power Wash Simulator, which was about the level of the rest, beyond replaying trailers for games we already knew or minor DLC for existing games.
Orks for Battlesector and a new place for Vermintide 2 were the only other things that stood out.

I can't say that miniature looks overly good. With how his arms and legs are it's if he's stumbling about and swinging them all randomly.

That miniature is hilariously gakky, it looks like he was stumbling around in a drunken stupor. Kudos for cramming yet another Primaris Lieutenant in the preview though!

Euuurrrgghhh what do they have against rhein own home market? There's a few of the smaller games I'd love to have bought but no gaks given for the home team apparently.

Better to grab Darktide. Gladius was like Civilisation but far less enjoyable, even the easier modes have zero chill and it's not something you can enjoy casually IMO.

It's pretty much a 'Get into the tabletop game' set for people that bought the videogame and want to explore boardgames/wargames, its interest for long-time players is at most the opportunity to get dis-gaunts

Gladius is a very combat heavy 4X game rather than a civilization/settlement/culture builder.

So yep its very much full on combat and battle.

It has some interesting mechanics - eg there's a story for each force that's unique to them which you can choose to follow or you can go your own way. Following the story adds more challenge which can up the risk factor for you and put pressure on you alongside the AI expanding their own settlements.

The various forces are also fairly unique - eg Tryanids can found a lot of separate cities whilst forces like the Space Marines found only one big settlement to operate out of.

I was exactly like this until I read a post somewhere that changed my mind completely.
The problem.with Gladius is that it has hexes and basic city building, so it's a Civ clone,.right?
It isn't.
It's more like a RTS that happens to be turn based. Approach it as such and you'll go further.
You ARE right that it's not exactly a quick blast,.though.

Armageddon and all it's DLC is on sale for dirt cheap. I'm sure most have played but if you haven't, I would recommend.

Harald Hammerstorm wasn't "made up on the spot"?

I see that, after all this time since the CGI trailer, the folks making Space Marine 2 have managed to give us almost 1 minute 10 of in-game footage. Good job. Having said that, these are the guys that did the World War Z game and it's insane zombie horde mechanics. We can see that in practice with Gaunts at the end of the mini-teaser. It's impressive.

[EDIT]: Another thought. Did anyone get a good look at the new Spawn in the upcoming Dark Tide update? I ask because sometimes license holders get to know about future releases well in advance of the general public (eg. the folks making the Deathwing game knew about the return of Genestealer Cults long before we did, FFG had all the stuff from the 5th Ed Grey Knight Codex before it was even previewed to general audiences) and the Dark Tide trailer seems to go out of its way to not give a good look at the Chaos Spawn its adding in.

Do we think that a newer looking Chaos Spawn (compared to the Spawn in Chaos Gate, which are the current mini) could mean an updated kit on the horizon? The current Spawn kit is very old.

40k coming to Power Wash Simulator is my personal highlight, those guys have been hauling in the big crossovers like crazy as of late.

The "spawn" from the Darktide trailer is one of the hulking plague brutes from the Gellerpox Infected, the one with the hood and the tentacles for arms.
