Hey, all, have recently decided to get back into miniatures after a few years off the dice. And get back onto this fourm! I had an account for quite some time but have completely forgot the username and password.

Been playing minatures since around 2007-08 after having moved from Canada to New Zealand. I played Competitive WHF for years (Dwarfs/Chaos Dwarfs)and also played 40k (Orks) with friends and family while also playing Flames of War (Mainly British LW)

I Stopped collecting and playing after moving city's in NZ at the end of 2019 either having sold my minatures or put into storage and with Covid hitting and Career changes, minatures just took a back seat for a while. I have recently moved to Australia with my partner at the beginning of Jan this year and have been really wanting to pick up 40k again from scratch and with the recent release of 10th Edition I thought this would be a good time to get back into it. Ive been interested in Guard or Custodes atm.

Looking forward to posting and chatting with the community again to start

Cheers

Welcome back to Dakka!

I've only been to NZ once and absolutely loved it. Which cities have large Warhammer clubs or stores?

Wellington was great, they have a great annual Avent "Call to Arms" which is held (I still think currently) at St Patrick's College around August-Sept time. Also, when I was playing fantasy we had a tournament usually every 3-4 months, but there was a few in between that in Quckland as well. They had the national rankings well admin'd and the tournaments were run very well 99% of of the guys playing were great.

Welcome back to the hobby and forum
If you're playing Imperium check out the Imperial Agents stuff, some super cool models in there you can soup in; and a freeblade knight is another option and great modelling project. 10th is great to play casually and i've every faith the comp scene will get more balance soon.

Ah, I spent most of my time on the south island so I never made it to Wellington but I'll definitely check it out next time I visit. Cheers!
