Anybody know what happened to December?

Getting work done. Just doesn't seem fast enough. Should be able to get some more time in over the next few days. Which is good, because that's all that's left.

Please tell me those socks are a texture in the model, otherwise I’m going to develop a permanent painting inferiority complex!

Mostly, on my phone.

So here we go, my 5 favourites from the khorne blood bowl team, The Krampus Killers

I ended up doing accessories to mark the dugouts etc. too.

And fwiw, here they are as part of the team as a whole:

Velma's done. Pretty happy with the results. There's a few things I would probably do differently, but on the whole I am good with how she is going to look on the shelf.

Jinkies!

She's another big'un. Next month, something small-ish. Good work to all that are done, good luck finishing to all that aren't!

No. The guy who printed it for me didn't give them to me, for some reason. She'd just lose them, anyway.

Out of curiosity, how tall is the model?

Great stuff appearing once more.

@youwashock: Great work on Velma!

My entries did not go as planned. Like predicted, I started working on all of them and jumped from one project to another.
Add to that the fact that I did not have much time to paint during this month. Or rather I would have, but video games and D&D stole my attention

Managed to get one of the hunters in a decent condition and did some base coating on the others.
The first one was started a bit earlier, but I would have re primed it if I would have entered with them. Might do it anyway, as it was a test model for contrast paints.
I also started the Black Knight Armour pinup. Managed to block the colors and start working on the NMM, but lost interest as it did not look right at all.
Decided to leave it for a while and ponder how to add contrast to it.

So, did not finish any of THOSE models.
But fret not!

I had a friend come over for some more painting guidance for his D&D minis. I decided to use the opportunity to paint a Gunslinger character from DM Stash.
It represents my character "Rosa Nox" in a Spelljammer D&D campaign. A bit messy here and there, but I wanted to get it done before the new year's games

Here's the proof from two days ago.

And Finished pictures:

Thanks for the positive response!

Geifer, she's about 12 inches, including the base, which I forgot to mention, was cast by my wife and daughter.

Love that tumbler, Olthannon!

@youwashock: Great job on bringing out the texture of the clothing. The stockings look like they could be fabric.
@Mothsniper: maybe not your best, but pretty good considering your ad-hoc workspace.

A last-minute WIP picture, plus the proof for the base I’ve decided to add.

Cool. That's a pretty big project.

Nevelon added all of the 1st to this month right from the start to account for holidays and hangovers.

Hope you can fix the base. Last minute disasters suck.

Yup, extra day all around. Take your time, get it right. I’ll get the Jan up tomorrow, but it may be a little later then the normal first thing in the morning I aim for. I’m currently in the middle of Ohio doing a 12ish hour road trip home from the holidays, so am going to sleep in as long as I can to recover.

But we are running out of month, so get those final touches done.

Looking good!

You should be able to get some small drill bits with a pin vice. Not sure if they sell separately. I got mine from Army Painter. Also useful for drilling out gun barrels.

I’ve got 2 sets of “normal” drill bits like you’d find in the hardware store, and the smallest ones are useful for sinking magnets, but too big for pinning. Technically if I was ever building a titan or other mega-model they would be, but nothing at the normal scale.

Cheers, I managed to grab some from DIY store nearby 1.2mm was smallest they had but still slightly to big for these, should be handy for other mini's though.

Some one mentioned "where did December go?" I have no idea ,I had hoped to be finished by now but need to do a base then I will post some finished pics, tonight or tomorrow morning.

Happy New Year all
