Not enough DOK to get me back into AoS. I also don't give a single solitary gak about the weird DND party they're trying to sell.

While I remain not at all a fan of dioramas on the gaming table, Krethusa is very cool.

I mean, you know the HH has more than just these guys and Marines, right?

And given how many plastic kits that are coming out, calling them "token" is laughable.

Seeing them without the ribbed sleeves looks a little odd, but I am thrilled for the plastic tanks especially. And the Aethon!

Those kroot look fantastic.

We still have that other silhouette of the kroot rider on a more traditional mount that has little catfish feelers on its chin.

So unless it's a character, there's another whole mounted unit available for them.

Might be an alternate build in the box?

Yeah, they mentioned that what just got revealed is "roughly" half the new stuff coming for Kroot

I have to say, this preview felt better than a lot of the recent ones. A decent showing for Kroot and the Solar Auxilia, and the other reveals were pretty neat! All told, I give it a B+.

The mandrakes turned out pretty good. Those warcry elves with limbs flinging about every which direction makes me appreciate the Old World stuff even more.

40k and HH releases didn't interest me personally, but were objectively very cool.'

The AoS release does interest me personally and was completely dogak. One new model, a book that MIGHT have some useful rules in it for 50 dollars, and a cheap attempt to cash in on Baldur's Gate/Critical Role popularity. Deeply sad as a DoK player who hasn't had an actual new unit (not a character or a endless spell) since the first Battletome.

A ranger type character would make sense, special or otherwise. I don't know if they'd double down on cavalry with a light scout unit (but I'm willing to hope)

No idea how else they'd flesh out the range, maybe a shaman shaper for some psychic presence? I guess jump troops would be interesting, but they'd be stepping on the toes of the Vespids. Are Kroot Berserkers a thing? Shock infantry would work both internally and as a complement to Tau. Not that I'm bored of what we've just seen, but I'm very curious about what's next
