Been looking forward to this. Looks fun.

I tried a demo of this a while back and it felt like a very empty twisted metal. Hopefully they've added a lot more too it.

Yeah, I heard something similar a ways back. People on their discord seem excited for it, but that just might be Orky enthusiasm to get out there and shoot something while driving really fast.

Its F2P, so even if it blows ass, it won't be like I lost much, other than the time it takes me to realize it may or may not be fun.

I played a few rounds last night. Fun, but pretty bare bones.

It'll need some more TLC in Early Access.

Going to have to play some tonight, that did seem to be the main problem from when I played the demos, was the lack of progression and that it can get pretty repetitive quickly. We'll see how they mix things up with game modes. I think if players could do some type of custom games/maps, it could do a lot to help with the longevity of the game.

Managed to unlock the grot tank and shokkjump dragsta, working my way up to get the megatrakk scrapjet.

So far, I feel like the boomdakka snazzwagon and the kustom boosta blasta are by far the most effective buggies, at least in Deff Rally. Fast enough and enough DPS to get to the points and cap them on time while krumping guys along the way.

Shokkjump is good for speed and I'm not sure if it's just me but their damage is abysmal, basically I've only ever killed with them when the enemy is like at a sliver of health left, any time I'm in a 1v1 fight, I have to dip because I can't do any real damage to them.

Grot Mega Tank and the Looted Tank are both only really good at holding down a flank when the point has been captured and used as mobile cover, rukkatrukk really relies on your team grouping up properly to shine. Overall, a few more tweaks and I think there'll be a good balance between the different vehicles.

I’ve been using which ever one has the molotov cocktail almost exclusively. Pretty awesome. Has the DoT attack to fire and forget on a near dead opponent and an effective chaingun. The smoke defense+boost is pretty legit.

Had a 29 kill round of Deff Rally, was well of the way to the finish line and I went off a cliff.

One thing that I like is the short wait after being krumped. It doesn’t get boring, but I’m comitted to just doing 1-2 matches a night.

Yeah, that's the BoomDakka Snazzwagon, it's definitely very versatile with a good mix of offense and defense, and being one of the faster vehicles. I think the tough part of the tanks is that you need to basically forgo using them at the very last contested point because you'll never be able to get to the finish line at their speed.

But yeah, I agree, it's good to eat up a half hour when you want to unwind, but I feel like they need a proper racing mode at the moment because the stompa race doesn't quite cut it for me, most matches feel drawn out for too long IMO.

I don’t really play many (any) other video games but I can’t get enough of Speed Freeks. Sailing through the air in my Kustom Boosta Blasta is all my inner ork craves.

Seeing grotz sail by on a missile and getting lifta droppa’d by a stompa for the first time were a very awesome and very unexpected surprise.
