How do!

Nice open question about how you transport your LI models from game to game.

The tanks seem pretty robust, even those with sponsons. But I do worry about my infantry getting squelched and snapped.

"Really Useful Box" here, infantry are in a 4l box - they all have either steel bases and magnetic sheets (my XV legion) or self adhesive magnets on the bases and rubber steel sheet (XIV legion).

vehicles & dreads are in a 9l box with enough in there they don't move too far

trick is don't put big stuff and small stuff in the same box, and when making leave off fiddly fragile details unless you have a robust way to make it cope with British roads

I bought magnetic sheets and covered the top, bottoms and sides of the core release box.

It’s nice and sturdy and a safe home for all my infantry tanks and dreadnoughts, as well as knights and smaller titans.

I need another nice sturdy box now though for all my flyers, and larger titans. So I might use another GW core set box like the Indomitus one, or Leviathan.

can see it not being too hard to add a couple of bits of magnetic stuff to the bottom of tank tracks etc

I have been sticking an appropriately sized magnet to the underside of each vehicle, I forget the exact size but it’s something like 2mm from the hull to the bottom of the tracks.

For the time being my Solar (and books etc) all fit in an old Battle Foam case that one of my Fow armies outgrew.
I've got enough room left in it for two more trays.

The Titans, Knights, and aircraft have a separate case

At the moment I've got a KR case with my LI Iron Warriors in (using some of their 6mm suitable trays) and titans are in RUB boxes.

For those in the UK, a really handy way of maximising use of the RUB boxes is some mdf inserts that Warbases make. I've used them with my 15mm historicals, lined with magnetic sheet and I probably will use a similar approach for LI at some point.

Some photos with my 15mm stuff to show how they look in practice (they do different depth/size options - I like the half trays but they do full ones), you can stack them two deep in the 4L box:
