I really like the Genestealer. Harbinger of a new edition of Space Hulk?

The Genestealer is nice, but at the same time I'm not paying the asking price for a single Genestealer.

I have no interest in Stormcast either, so this years minis are a bust for me.

Genestealer is cool. Interestingly it has the original design (like the two in Deathwatch Overkill).

Quite like the 40K miniature at least, but it seems pretty bad that it sounds like there's no longer a free gift for a £50 spend and it starts at £100 now, with some vague undescribed way to get the pins that were a £50 spend gift.

Also, having a gaming mat be one of them sounds good too...until you see you need 2 of them. Spend £200 - 400 to actually be able to use it!

Loot Group often has the rewards for sale. We price them at 10% of the qualifying bracket, so here £10 for the dice cup, £15 for the metal dice, and £20 for the mat.

I’ll likely be doing a couple of Loot runs this year, so may wind up with spares.

'Stealer is lovely. Stormcast is, well, exactly that. Same meh, bland design as the rest of the range. I suppose she'd make a good base for a female Space Marine, if you're that way inclined?

I fancy both models, and more so than what they've offered so far with Warhammer+. Would a store be able to reserve these models, if I can't get in on the day?

The Genie might be a sign of a new edition of Space Hulk, but I've long given up on GW's board games as they tend to be B&N exclusives these days.

I'd double-check with your store manager, but I think they may take orders all week. I don't think they had the models in on the day last time my local had their birthday.

They usually take orders for 9 days (starts on the birthday Saturday and finishes the following Sunday). They usually have some stock of the anniversary models but can back order if they run out (I am still waiting for one of my 2024 models that I ordered in October).

GW’s solo plastic miniatures have always been mind-bogglingly overpriced.

And from memory of previous visits, the £26 per special anniv model does not count towards the £100/150/200 rewards spend

I'll be looting these as usual, but at least they haven't gone all-cardboard, like they did in 2020 (2021?). The AoS objective markers fro that one are obsolete already.

That's odd - I'm pretty sure they have when my local store has had its anniversary.

Well, if EVERYONE spends enough £££££ to get a mat, you'll always be able to find an opponent who has a matching half!

It makes gaming match-ups quite risky. "Opponent wanted. Must have own mat".
I might have to somehow go to £400 to get it twice (as it that's going to happen, for a mat they will not just sell to us).
