How many/which models do you have left to get your Raven Guard and Eldar to be playabe forces? If it would help your motivation, you can list them out and ask us which we would enjoy seeing? I would enjoy seeing more of your Raven Guard personally, since I am working on Raven Guard right now too. Especially if you feel up to pushing yourself on them both February and March (a good point from Nev).

As for me, I'm still going to focus on my Raven Guard captain, but if I have time I will paint up my squad of Raven Guard terminators or try to sculpt two Broodlords from a failed jumbo hormagaunt print.

It's a heresy Raven Guard army, and I've got a ton of stuff to paint for it... If you really want a list:

3 squads x10 of tactical marines (plain/with bayonets/with chain bayonets)
1 squad x10 of dark furies
1 squad x10 kitbashed mortalis destroyers
1 squad x5 kitbashed mortalis destroyers
1 squad x10 kitbashed seekers
9 kitbashed veterans (I painted one veteran for an entry with a veteran rhino a while back)
1 squad x10 of tartaros terminators
1 squad x10 of combi plasma tartaros terminators
1 squad x10 of kitbashed Mor Deythan with melta weapons and shotguns
1 squad x5 of Mor Deythan with nemesis bolters

1 land raider spartan
1 land raider proteus
1 sicaran battle tank
1 rhino (unbuilt)
1 kratos (unbuilt)
2 contemptor dreadnoughts

Kitbashed legion praetor
Kitbashed apothecary
2 kitbashed librarians
Kitbashed techmarine
Kitbashed moritat
2 kitbashed champions

I've already painted a delegatus consul, praetor/champion, vigilator, veteran rhino and a tactical support squad with plasma guns.

So yeah... I kinda went overboard a few years ago, collecting and kitbashing them! I guess the most important to paint in order to make them playable are some of the tactical marines, dark furies/mor deythan, the rest of the veteran squad and maybe a contemptor.

For the eldar, I've mainly been painting individual models in order to be able to build kill teams... so take your pick, really! I have versions of pretty much every unit or individual going back to the rogue trader era.

Sorry, I messed up when editing down the quote. I fixed it now.

@CancelledApocalypse: Wow, I can see why it may feel overwhelming to try to push through on finishing those. I did something similar with getting too enthusiastic buying extra sprues from Dark Vengeance when 7th edition came out, I've finally down to only having 4 unpainted Dark Angels left. Sadly, I don't play 30k or Kill Team so I appreciate you saying what would be useful for Heresy. I love contemptor dreadnoughts, and I bet those veterans look cool. They would get my vote. For Eldar, my favorite has always been the Wraith constructs. Are Wraithguard, Wraithblades, and Wraithlords in Kill Team? You can't go wrong with jet bikes in Eldar, I expect
Thanks for taking the time to type that list out.

Great to see you're painting a black ninja, white ninja and even a red ninja who, as we all know, is of course the most dangerous kind of ninja.

How does conservation of Ninja work in this situation?

3 ninjas are not at swarm of mooks level, but also not at the lone-ninja major badass level. They are probably on par with the heroes. Competent, but not unstoppable (depending on plot needs)

Nerd of A Certain Age will likely remember the ninja movie craze of the 80's/90's. They had to put different colored uniforms on the various factions of ninjaso you could tell them apart. This means that my color choices are historically accurate.

The opening ‘golf course massacre’ scene from Ninja III: The Domination will always be my favourite ninja moment in history. It was real and actually happened. Those poor people, just trying to enjoy a round of golf. So sad.

Even attempting to flee using a golf buggy is thwarted by the incredible speed of the deranged ninja assassin:

I'm entering with some Genestealers. Proof:

These should be pretty easy to paint; I should in theory be able to knock them out in an afternoon, other than bases. We'll see if I actually do that.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

I gave these Striking Scorpions a prime earlier in the week, and got them going this weekend.

I've just bought a set of Scale75 Scalecolour paints specifically for these. I have a few already, and like them. We'll see how they finish up.

Here's a surprise: swapping up entries.

I had a good look at the schedule for this short month and quickly (but, not quickly enough) came to the conclusion that with everything going on, there was no way I was going to finish Tanya. And then I got sick. So, yeah.

Found three plague marines, I haven't painted any of these guys yet so going to enter these 3 gentlemen.

Tempted to buy the kill team starter set so I have something quick to play if I can convince a mate to play a game in the future (only painted minis so far not gamed yet)

It will give me the chance to practice painting some of Nurgle's finest.

Nurgle is generous with his gifts, and are often a surprise for his devoted followers.

Having some issues accessing the paints at the moment though

That raft is legit. I see no issues with it.

Also, cute kitty, Pursuit Of Happiness. I wouldn't want to disturb it either. Cat-tastrophes are the best reason for getting no painting done.

Quick progress picture for me. Half way through the month, and only 1 model half finished... I need to paint quicker.

That Scorpion looks good so far.

The ninja and halflings are finished, but I'm not 100% sold on any of them. I'm adding a couple more options for me to choose from when I decide my final entry:

A Mimic and a Rust Monster, both from the Big Box of Bones. Either would be a nasty surprise for any Dungeoneer.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?
