I remember people complaining a lot about the streamlined 3rd ed codexes. Initially it was very much a 'but you've already got the fluff in your 2nd ed codex, and it hasn't changed so pointless printing it again. That was fair enough, they were selling off the 2nd ed ones for pounds each before it was removed so most people had bought all the factions that they were interested in. But wasn't long before new factions appeared (immediately, in the case of DE), and new players got involved. Suddenly those thin codexes weren't quite so great anymore.

Biggest sin of 3rd Ed, background wise?

Introducing Dark Eldar!

We’ve been hinting at them on and off since mid to late 2nd Editon! Are they chaotic, or something else?

Well brace yourself!

Because we’re not telling!. Here, have a wonky Codex, and absolutely sod all background of any particular interest!

Still not the worst offender.

The Chapter Approved Necrons!

Who are they? We don't know!

But that was part of their whole shtick from the get go.

Where do you come from, where do you go? Where did my troops go, Glowing Eyed Fiends?
