Love the idea of separating squads by swag colour!
You're certainly building up an impressive force here. Batch painting is a pain-for-gain process, that's for sure, but then you get rewarded with the fun pieces like Bop and his face tattoos!

Thanks for sharing and good luck in 2026!
Thanks! Yeah without batch painting I'll sink in details for every trooper and finish planed forces around end of 15th edition 250 small infantry is too much to paint them all to high quality, and I also need to paint my needs who already covered with dust on upper shelf. so I switched to mass production. It's lowering individual quality of each miniature, but from other side they looks good enough for display and for tabletop.
Here is HWS, painted based and varnished. I really love this kit. Good variety of bodies and heads, lots and lots of bits to use in squad and for conversions and terrain build.
Spoiler:
Command squad is almost ready. I believes I'll finish them today.
Spoiler:
My overall plan for this forces is corrected a bit. It'll gonna be infantry company + support:
All kind of non-epic HQ 150 troopers. line riflemen + special weapon and Voxmen
Heavy weapon platoon. 5 HWS, at least one squad of each kind
3 squads of kasrkins
3 FOB. One of each kind
Sentinels squadron. 3 armored and 3 scouts
2 russ + baneblade

Command squad is complete. Again good kit I like it more then old one. You virtually can build 3 command squads and make them looks different without to much effort. Next one obviously should be with banner. I don't really like how banner in kit looks like. Idk may be I make my own. I don't like they limited us with cadian banner only, wish they gives us empty banner so we can make our own.
Spoiler:
I can't make proper photos again. Could you be so generous and gives your priceless feedback.

The heavy weapon teams look really good, clean painting scheme and very uniform, carrying the colour through to the gun works well.
The command squad looks good too, it is a great kit and gives you a load of spare bits to sprinkle through your army! The catachan command squad used to be good as the banner was rolled up (I think) so was fairly easy to pass off as any army - you might be able to eBay one…?
Ps - I like the idea of swag bag colourings, I was going to do the same thing with bandanas on my catachan but never got round to it!
Pps - fml that’s is one big bright tank!
Well, back in 7th we played apocalypse very often, and when you deploy two companies you wanna some markings on them just to understand who is who. I'd tried paint bases in squad colors, but it's looks ugly, so I come to this solution.
Nah, I think I make my own banner with greenstuff. I have one(which technically redstuff) I used to make cloak for bullgryn bonehead. It's allow make something 0.7-1 mm thick elements.
Yeap, baneblade.. well, it's matter not which color you tank is if it's as large as 3 story building.
Right now I'mdfinished blue on troopers and cloth are midways. I think I'll finish it tomorrow and start my favorite part. Faces. 30 faces to be painted. I have problem with them, cause it's feels like I spend more time painting faces then any other part. Just can't create pipeline like for all other parts. It's simple for armour. Like dark blue, next mix 1:1 dark and medium blue. Next add light blue to mix. And finish with light blue alone. Simple. But faces always looks bad if I try to use some standard approach enmass. Something looks good on bald guy, but horrible on meltagunner.
I would be glad for any suggestions.

Completed Yellow squad. Here they are alone and with their platoon.
Spoiler:
Two more squads almost done, and tomorrow I finish them. There is only red Aquilas and some metallics aren't finished.
Next gonna be second castellan who also almost done and need only drab and weapon to be painted

Finished all battleline units. There is last blob of twenty and army shoot without vechicles and ogryns who's wip right now.
Spoiler:
I wish I finish last two bullgryns and castellan tomorrow. There is very few touches for them. And technically basecoated sentinels who need to be repainted in new( or upgraded colour scheme). That's look a good on shelf and after I got all remained infantry, which is twice current body count I've got a company.

Hmmm... there's nothing in the background to comment on....

I'm almost done with my Owned Astra Militarum. There is only one bullgryn, which I failed to paint cause of wrong colours are chosen and he go to repaint and two sentinels are left.
First Major and second in command in regiment Karl Mannerkheim, master of siege and defense. Beloved strategy - static defence.
Spoiler:
I really love this kit. Good pile of options. You can make 3 different castellans and they all looks good, and you get a lot of options for your kit bash
Do you remember Bop? He is done. With some reworks and some OSL Bop is ready to defend Imperium and fight it's enemies. Right now it's something slaaneshy I think
Spoiler:
I'll never tired to say how I love ogryns kit. They just cool. You can make and paint them GW way, you can make them heroes or villain and they looks always amazing.
Whish I have some time on the week and finish last bullgryn. And with The Emperor's grace have time for sentinels. They are large so it's shouldn't be hard to paint them to new standard.
As always I would be happy if you leave any feedback or criticism. It's always helps to paint minis better.
P.S. for Lathe Biosas there is air int first plan, so technically both minis are on background so could you be so generous and comment them?

Colonel Jacka wrote: Great IG Army and I really like the blue urban cammo. Very striking, your Tanks and big guns look excellent. Nice character leaders as well.
Thanks, it's took a lot of time to find out right combination of colours so they compliment each other. IG don't have lotta characters so I try make each good.
Finished skin on bullgryn bonehead. There's some work needed to finish armour, virtually few glazes and next gonna be shield. If I would be lucky I'll finish him tomorrow. Also this is the first time I'm happy how face and especially eyes looks.

No, they are too hard to control, it's running where it shouldn't and don't run where I want it to be. I preferred glazing if I need tone sometnig or pre shading if I need to get something dark, like this bullgryn, and just build colour over it from darkest to lightest

Interesting, works well though - does give an old school kind of look - and the bonehead looks great.

His fall was not a small one,
We did but built his pedestal,
A narrow and a tall one."

Actually there is some issues with photo -_- phone camera can't shoot more than one gradient and make a mess. So if face look good all other gonna look so-so.
Last bullgryn is done, I don't make a story for him, so just the bonehead.
Spoiler:
And entire squad
There is only 2 sentinels left basecoated. Can't predict how long it take to finish them. May be day, or two.
Now it's should be around 2200 points of IG which mostly infantry. If we consider I bought most of models in May its took 8 mont to paint this army.

Ты легко можешь сконвертить их в нобов в мегаброне. По сути только головы заменить и добавить каких то бисов орочьих.
You can easily convert them into nobs in megaarmor. Just swap heads and add some Orkish bits
That’s a great effort getting the army completed, quite a quick turn around as well. The army looks great all ranked up together!
Have you thought about using a contrast paint for the skin, I was a bit sceptical to start with but slapped some on one of my old catachan models and was really surprised out how well it turned out. Might be an option to explore - if you want to try something new.

Ain't finish the army is a main goal always I'd tried contrasts and that gives a result which always, idk, too uniform? Faces shouldn't be all same. Yes I'm struggling from time to time with them but from other side it's a part of process.
That's all folks!
For now I have all my IG minis completed. There is pair of sentinels which I finished recently, they get same scheme . There also a lotta weapon for them. Great kit. I do not repose them so far. Just swapped legs so they have different leading one. But technically if you remove stoppers you can pose them as you want. Next few would be posted running and may be jumping.
Spoiler:
And whole family
Also I started my last unpainted 60 gaunts. That's gonna be some time before I complete them. They are planned to be In a bit different colorscheme compared to reveners but really close. And then I think I switch to terrain. I have plasticard, PVC, bottles, cans tubes and all other things to build some battle zone

Started little lizards. Decided to continue and enriching theme of lizard/zaurs and make first two test gaunts.
Imma altered a bit skin tone by changing mid color and make new scheme for barbs, talons and scythes. And make belly ivory and pink. And really like how it's looks all together.
