In a complete twist of fate, the new 11th edition starter box will do exactly what it says on the tin, and players who open it up will unleash a pandora's box of war onto the world.

In order to crush the souls of Thousands Sons players and sell more Sisters of Silence models, the new Psychic Ambomination rules will prevent any Thousand Sons units from harming them...

For added immersion, destroyed units in game are to be physically destroyed.
In unrelated news, prices will increase by 200%.

Or if they would just 3D scan and reproduce a lot of their old kits in plastic, it can't be too hard.

Remarkably harder than you'd think. Metal and HIPS have very different engineering limitations.

The bigger issue would just be meeting the minimum sales required to do this and not suffer catastrophic losses though.

Here's the process I would love GW to do with their old catalog of miniatures.

Scan the miniatures to make a mesh/etc.
Get their expert 3d modelers to use the scans as a "starting point" and re-create the old miniatures as new digital sculpts. With digital modeling software it seems possible to have this new scult side-by-side or on-top of the mesh of the scan for comparison.

Sell STLs of these old miniatures, because they're never going to re-produce them.
Let people use 3d prints of these old miniatures in games.

The new 11th Edition Anniversary Model is the old Carboard Cutout and plastic holder/base Ork Killa Kan.

It's the exact same "model" but now comes with a tactical rock base and costs 46.20€

They'd never do this, but I would love it if they did. Why give stuff away for free, where they can print it infinitely, when you can charge them $120 for a single reproduction model
