12 monies for a stamping kit. Quick test.
Need a bit of practice to get the timing down but this is way faster than freehand.
Not as crisp, but I was testing with vallejo acrylic paint.
Decals are much crisper and cleaner, so not sure what is better to be messing around with decals or stamps.

It seems like we were just talking about these.

<one search later>

OK, so a little loose on “recently” but back in August there was a chat about nail stamps, including some gaming specific ones.

Might be worth lookin into

Cool!
And I knew about the overpriced goober stamps. Tech already existed and is way cheaper.
Do not want to resurrect a 3 month old thread.

Heh. Not advocating necromancy, but figured it was quicker to post a link. And I didn’t think it was that long ago. But remembered there was a gamer focused thing out there you might want to know about

There is some good info.
When I saw the goober stamps for the first time I though it was genius, and few days later i find out that nail-art had that tech for years and kits for $15, and few days later I find out that goober kit is $200 buks.
From videos I saw, and testing it my self, the stamping is quite difficult to get right, and it is not very crisp, not even close to the decals. So I wonder how actually useful is it, or a gimmick.

Then I saw videos of some pretty insane nail artists and they all freehand the detail, nail-art pros don't use stamps for the details.
So, I think $20 is a good max price for the value you are getting. A kit that has a skill learning curve but will let you quickly apply janky details should not be more than $20.

For example.
I got this mini table drill press for $70 And it is worth it, I am getting alot of value from it.

And would pay $200 for a similar table-manual-style-stamping-press if it would deliver cleaner patterns.
