He really doesn't; in fact, he actively distrusts every single one of his warband leaders or officers. Even Garreon and Valthex aren't trusted because Huron knows they'll step aside or back an opposing warlord if they smell blood.
And a squad of Chosen or Terminators is very different from having an entire unit of character models that would be better served being, y'know, character models.

Blood Bowl one (lass holding the cuddly Blood Bowl Ball) draws attention to star shaped glasses.
Only team I can think of (bearing in mind limited familiarity with the game) is Chaos All Stars. And they don’t seem to have a plastic team.
She also had elf ears, so I'm assuming an elven Star Player.
Yeah. Probably means Star Players being revealed. Are there any presently unrepresented in model form? As I don’t recall SP’s being previewed without their home team in recent years.

And yet, they're his retinue narratively, they fight and exist together in the fluff. Seeing some representation for some characters on the table top is always a good thing, I'm not sure why you're so angry about it.

And yet they just straight up aren't. They're senior commanders in the Red Corsairs, not Huron's retinue or command squad.
In Blood Reaver he fights with a Terminator squad, in Master of the Maelstrom he fights with a few different units (none of them including Valthex or Garreon), and in The Gildar Rift he also doesn't fight with a specific retinue (in fact Garreon never steps foot off the Wolf of Fenris).
So, in fact, Huron doesn't fight with a specific retinue of super friends hence why I am hoping it's not just a copy of a command squad or the Titus Friend Brigade.
And kindly don't assign emotions to me, we are having a discussion and my disagreeing with you doesn't automatically make me angry.

Ok, apologies, your written tone is coming across as snippy and irritated as an FYI.

Gaunt's Ghosts almost never fight in the formation included in their box; the top three officers together with a scout and a sniper. We'll just have to learn to accept that GW just throws characters from a faction together into a box and calls it a command squad.

Same with the recent box of Ultramarine weirdos, sometimes having the models and unit is the best you're going to get and that's cooler than not having anything. Objectively until presumably later in the year red corsairs have more support than iron warriors, night lords, alpha legion, word bearers and weirdly black legion.

There’s every chance they’re equivalent to the sets that first introduced Guilliman and Cawl.
Short term boxed sets of characters which will be eventually released individually.
Which of course could be partially confirmed or outright denied if there are sprue pics out there. All in one? I’m dead wrong. A sprue per model? I may be on to something.

I'd say it's much more likely we're getting the High Elf team rather than only star players, it's a similar amount of time that Necromantic launched after the Season 2 box.

Those were from the days before GW's strict 'what's in the box is a unit' approach. We can be optimistic that maybe 11th edition will return to those Good Ol Days, but I for one reckon the grim darkness foretells only chunky HQ units.

A bunch of the wardens are explicitly non-combat characters as well, or at least would never be on the front-line fighting. One of them is a diplomat, another an admiral.

The Grotmas sheets for Dark Water have 0-1 per hero, meaning Kelthannor can be in pure Sylvaneth while the rest are Sigmar.
That's Legends for AoS of course, but if anything they can take a page from that if they wanna let players go for lore next who am I kidding? They were ALWAYS operating together in the books because matched play reasons....
