How do!

Cadia Unbroken & Dawner’s Reward.

First available at Adepticon, and then at GW Events the rest of the year.

Nice looking minis. Not break out, must have, but solid looking.

I'm not very impressed by either of them. The 40k one feels more like a mash up of previously released characters (mostly the various commissars)

The CoS at least feels like a homage to the older empire captains

Yeah, fine sculpts, but not something I’ll go out of my way to get.

Nothing exciting to worry about this year.

Very underwhelming.

The proportions of the Cadian officer are off, why are the fingers so long?

The CoS dude is fine, but the blood on the sword is possibly the worst "effect" a GW sculptor has ever created, even worse than all of the AoS swirly gak combined. Yes, I'm exaggerating, but it's still pretty bad.

Event/Commemorative models are a bit odd.

Whilst I’ll go out of my way to get them? You probably don’t want them being too desirable, as folk are simply more likely to miss out than get hold of them. I mean, that’s just the nature of of such things.

But you also need them to stand out enough to be generally desirable.

Both of these I’d say encapsulate something of their respective armies. The Cadian looking stoic and unflinching (and a nice reimagining of the classic metal bloke). The Steelhelm exhausted but still resolute.

So, for those actively collecting armies? A nice bit of froo-froo as wee special things. For those who just enjoy painting models for display and/or competition? Something a weeny bit different. And for others quite possibly the sort of thing they’ll pick up if the opportunity presents.

Should be available at WHW’s Store Anniversary, so I imagine I’ll be grabbing some for later redistribution in the Loot Group. But that public service removed? I’m not sure I’d go all that way just for meself.

Deathwing Terminator with Assault Cannon

Reminds me a bit of the officer from the 2003 Command Squad.

It's fine - but I already have that one rebased to be my Castellan, plus Creed, so it'll depend whether I need another one when it goes MTO.

I like the fighter, if you want an expensive DnD mini. Commissar is meh.

Both are really nice sculpts, but I've no real interest in either of them.
That's unusual, there's normally at least one of the event minis that I have to have, either to go into an exiting army or to paint up.

CoS humans continue to have terrible proportions. Did the Skaven put something in the water?

I didn't think the event models were available at the WHW anniversary this year? I didn't think they'd had a UK release at all to be honest.

They both look like trainee efforts, sculpted in putty rather than on a computer.

They are fine. That power sword is quite a bit bigger than the scabbard though. I know it happens with pistols and holsters all the time in 40k, but this one is a bit obvious

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I like the idea of the glove off on the cadia model. Would paint really well that one.

It's almost canonical at this point that all Cadian Castellans are kinda derpy looking.

The Castellan is nice. Perhaps not as nice as it's initial cost on the 2nd hand market will be, but worth acquiring once initial demand dies down...

I'd be tempted to pick up the CoS one and replace a few things to fit my Feudal Guard. Pose looks really nice.

The Cadian one looks okay?

One thing that bothers me is that these are one off special sculpts so why do Cadians? Why not take an opportunity to do a Mordian or Vostroyan figure? (I mean I know the reason why but it's still annoying). It's a nice opportunity to do something different and you'd get far more sales.
