Excellent. Competition is always good, as are options, especially when it comes to hobby paints.

With Monument, I'm kinda fine that they are the bringing up the rear on Contrast style paints. It means they may have a twist on them. I'm hoping for something more like inks with stronger coverage.

The News and Rumors section is all about surprises. I'd certainly hate it if we got 100 posts saying "I know something you don't know..." - malfred

I feel I shouldnt have to pay 60 cents extra per pot to fix their poor design. I like their paints, but their lids are fething terrible.

That's your opinion that it's a 'poor design' and 'fething terrible' are obviously not shared by Monument nor by everyone who uses the Pro Acryl paints.

I like the twisty tops generally, but for contrast-style paints I really prefer being able to just go brush to pot and move fast, its the main reason I've stuck with GW contrasts while everything else is PA (or SC metals)

Agreed. They are ridiculously wasteful. I've got an old t-shirt used exclusively for wiping the excess off after I've used them. No other paint range can claim that

Still, looking forward to seeing what they bring to the table with this.

I wonder if Vince is involved? Their premier color is from his set.

They are coming into the market a little late, I honestly think that Speedpaint and AK interactive got them beat.
IDK what they can add to make it useful now.

I mean, if they don't reactivate when you paint over them they'll be a step up from Speedpaint.

That was overblown and fixed about 3 years ago

I bought the starter set. It wasn't overblown at all. Some of the colours are almost impossible to paint over without bleed through, no matter how long they are left to cure.

And yes, they mostly corrected it in the second version... But that doesn't 'fix' the money I spent on terrible paint.

So anyone making a product that does what it is supposed to without annoying side effects, and who has better customer service when things go wrong, is going to have a superior product, IMO.
