For those who may have missed it, Heroscape the miniature board game by Hasbro; is releasing a GI Joe themed Heroscape in conjunction with Renegade Studios. This includes unpainted and pre-painted miniatures.

I watched a review here:

and immediately purchased the core set, the Cobra troopers, and the Green shirts box, which also netted me a free Serpentor. I will save the other expansion and another set of Cobra and Green shirts for a later day.

You can check it out here:

Anyway, I am not much into Heroscape but I can use this to help get new folks into Minature wargaming, use the minis for my own GI Joe RPG adventures, and have some fun miniatures for other games too.

Gi Joe is really interesting to me looking in, it’s one of those things that is sort of really big in its little niches. Every now and then YouTube reminds me it exists with really cool collections and discussions and then it stops even if I’m curious about it all.

Do thy still sell the figures? I remember those for funny reasons lol.

Really cool honestly, going to watch the review now and see what it’s got. Just for curiosity!

Yeah, they still sell actual Action Figures BUT I am not an expert on what is happening in that space. That can get really confusing to me really fast too.

I just wanted some miniatures.

Neat Figs. I saw them at Adepticon last week.

GI Joe was one of my favorite cartoons and toy lines as a kid. Still got some of them in the garage. I've even got a platoon of 28mm proxy Cobra and some vehicles that I've been meaning to paint up for years.

However, I've no interest in Heroscape and the figures don't appear to be available separately, so this is a pass for me.

Yeah, I have no real interest in it either but picked it up for the figures and I also got the Cobra troopers and Green Shirts too.

This is arguably my 'real' entry into miniature wargaming, playing it with my sibling. Good to see it's still out there.

The thing about Warhammer is that no one person can grasp the fullness of it.

Heroscape? Or playing with the 3.75 inch figures or other Gi Joe lines? I’m super curious about Gi Joe for some reason.
